This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX. (Candidates outside of these states will not be considered)

The VP/Director of Corporate Events is an exceptionally skilled, enthusiastic, and proven marketing leader that strategically owns and executes high-impact events that educate and engage customers and prospects. This role is responsible for conceptualizing and driving best-in-class marketing experiences that promote and elevate Raintree’s brand, establish thought leadership, and drive sales pipeline and revenue through data-driven field marketing strategies. Additionally, this leader will own and lead the growth and evolution of Raintree’s annual user group meeting to be recognized as the preeminent market event within the physical therapy industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Raintree’s events including trade shows, annual client symposium, company events, regional customer events, client/prospect parties/receptions, and more
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive field marketing strategy that aligns with sales objectives and contributes directly to pipeline growth and revenue generation
  • Deliver a white glove experience to clients and prospects that objectively outshines competitors’ event experiences, ensuring Raintree is the preferred destination for our target audiences
  • Create and responsibly manage event budgets, including projecting attendance, revenues and expenses, and providing timely reporting of results
  • In conjunction w/demand generation, build and implement strategies that meaningfully engage audiences before, during, and after events
  • Forecast, assess and measure event effectiveness to provide data-driven recommendations that improve and optimize future events and overall event strategy, including comparisons against competitors
  • Build and nurture relationships with key customers, partners, industry influencers and senior leaders to engage them as speakers, sponsors and participants
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, research, and new technologies to develop events that advance Raintree’s position and deepen engagement with our priority audiences
  • Direct all facets of the events process including planning and implementing timelines, contract negotiations, vendor management, expense monitoring and budgeting, record keeping, on-site management, communications, staff and participant coordination
  • Conduct site visits and recommend city and site venues, negotiate all aspects of the conference plan, select and manage vendors
  • Manage a high-performing events team, ensuring standards and best practices are met for all audiences across Raintree’s community
  • Create, develop, communicate and own an events calendar, defining cadence, formats, and goals

Position Proficiencies and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field
  • 10+ years experience developing and executing large-scale events, ideally in-house for a high-growth company
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing field marketing strategies that directly contribute to sales pipeline and revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and ability to align event strategies with sales objectives
  • Proven track record of creating memorable, on-brand event experiences that drive business results
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to manage complex budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; experience building and leading high-performing event teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with and leading senior executives and external stakeholders
  • CMP (Certified Marketing Planner) certification highly preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed to drive successful event execution
