Vice President Finance - Full-time

Required Qualifications

  • Adherence to the company's mission and values in all aspects of the job
  • Minimum 10-15 years’ experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Professional Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in personnel management
  • Experience with tax returns
  • Familiarity with property management accounting software, such as Rent Manager or Yardi
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and precision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly
  • Responsive and open to feedback and growth
  • Hands-on approach to work
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills to maximize team effectiveness
  • Real estate development, acquisition, and/or property management industry experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Adaptability
  • Fast learner
  • Effective communication with all stakeholders, including employees, management, and other departments

Job Description

  • Partnering with the company’s CFO and other executives
  • Taking a lead on financing strategies, finance reporting and operations, and more complex finance projects
  • Overseeing a team comprised of a Controller, Property Accountants, and Accounts Payable Associates
  • Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders
  • Managing finance reporting, financial tracking, and budgets for all group entities
  • Overseeing financial aspects of acquisitions and sales
  • Managing bank relations and communication with lenders
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of group entities' annual tax returns
  • Participating in debt structuring
  • Leading projects related to systems, implementations, and new technologies
  • Providing leadership and supervision to the Finance and Accounting department
  • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees
  • Communicating expectations, monitoring job results, and providing feedback to encourage personal growth and development
  • Fostering a positive working environment that promotes teamwork
  • Modeling leadership and staff development to cultivate new leaders within the organization
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary
