Much like a certain reality star who came before her, Alex Hall must choose between a former flame and a European adventure in the closing moments of Selling the OC Season 3. So, will she always be known as the girl who didn’t go to Italy? Or did she leave Stanaland-land and settle her will-they-won’t-they chemistry with Tyler once and for all?

Before we’re able to get any clarity, the screen fades to black, leaving us with more unanswered questions than a prospective buyer at Ali Harper’s trial showing. So what happened next? With the professional and personal futures of The Oppenheim Group crew hanging in the balance, we caught up with the agents after all the drama to officially close the book on Season 3 for good.

Watch the video above to hear from the Selling the OC crew themselves, and then read on for answers to the many lingering questions you might have after the finale.

Alex Hall

Did Alex Hall go to Italy?

The dolce vita lifestyle comes calling for Alex Hall in the final moments of the finale, as she prepares to jet away with her new love interest — much to Tyler’s disappointment.

Shortly before Alex plans to leave, Tyler expresses a desire to rekindle their connection after it was seemingly snuffed out earlier in the season. So, was the fireside chat compelling enough to make Hall switch up her travel plans? “I did [go to Italy],” Hall tells Tudum. “It’s really hard to come back from somewhere like that, you know? If I didn’t have kids, I’d probably still be there.”

As for what life looks like now, Hall says she’s “taking a break from dating at the moment,” hinting that her travel companion isn’t exactly in the picture. “Dating in your 30s is hard. Dating with kids is hard. Dating after a divorce is hard. Dating being on a reality show is hard,” she says. “And if my life wasn’t complicated enough, now it’s even more difficult with the show being out.”

While her children and her real estate career remain top priorities, Hall still has hopes of settling down with a soulmate one day. “Obviously, I want to be in a relationship. I want to get remarried,” she says. “I would love to possibly have more children, but I’m kind of laying off the pressure of it for now.”

What’s the status of Tyler and Alex Hall’s relationship?

These days, Alex Hall is investing in long-term compatibility over electric chemistry, which means the ship has sailed for her and Tyler.

“Tyler and I don’t speak anymore. So that’s where we stand,” she says of her former co-worker, who’s since left The Oppenheim Group to join his family’s business. “Chemistry can be very, very dangerous, and I’ve let it lead me astray many, many times,” she says. “It can take you very far in a relationship where you might not be compatible with somebody, and then ultimately it’s somewhat of just a learning experience or a waste of time.”

While it’s “hard to walk away” from that kind of attraction, Hall believes it’s the right decision for her. “I’m just trying to learn as I go here,” she says.

Did Kayla ever sell that Bayside listing?

All season long, everyone (especially top O Group earner Gio Helou) had an opinion about whether Kayla was ready to take on a highly coveted $28 million listing. As it turns out, she was the perfect agent for the property.

“It was obviously the biggest listing I’ve had, and there were a lot of ups and downs,” she tells Tudum. “We bent over backwards for a lot of things, but it turned out to be great. We sold it in the 11th hour. It was a quick close for $25 million, so I’m very thankful.”

With a chunk of change in her pocket, Kayla’s professional prospects have never been brighter. “I have a lot of great things [going on] now. I’m still of course doing my real estate, and I’ve been picking up a lot of momentum,” she says. “I’m now a certified life coach. I brought back my podcast. I’ve been speaking on stages. I’m just giving back to the community and it’s been very fulfilling.”

Has Austin bought a home for his family?

Austin and his growing family are still on the hunt for a forever home. “We’re getting close [to finding one],” he says. “We’re still looking, but the market is thin, so it’s tough.” But now that this wife is pregnant with another child, he might need to expand his search — at least when it comes to a bedroom count.

“Life is good. My wife is very pregnant, so I have my little boy on the way,” he says. “We’re just prepping for that and spending a lot of one-on-one time with my daughters before they’re not my babies anymore. It’s been very emotional.”

Does Ali Harper have her real estate license?

The aspiring Oppenheim Group agent is still finding her footing in the Newport Beach market. As she previously told Tudum, getting a real estate license in California is more of a marathon than a sprint, but she made some major strides recently.

“I’m just waiting on the California Department of Real Estate to accept my application to actually take the exam, but the 135 hours [of prelicensing courses] are done,” she says. “I have my certificate. I’m so excited to move forward.”

On the home front, Harper has been dealing with some highs and lows. She recently got engaged to boyfriend Lucas England. But Harper says she’s been experiencing “a lot of complicated health issues,” which have been stealing her focus as of late. “It’s been kind of a journey over the last few months, but I am really thankful that I’m feeling better,” she says. “We have some answers, and I am just really happy for the support that I’ve gotten.”

Alexandra Jarvis reacts to something on her tablet.

Did Alexandra Jarvis leave The Oppenheim Group?

Yes, Alexandra Jarvis has amicably parted ways with The Oppenheim Group to pursue other ventures. After filming back-to-back seasons of the occu-soap and celebrating her one-year anniversary with husband Sergio Ducoulombier, Jarvis says she’s happily “enjoying some downtime right now.”

“I’ve just been enjoying married life and traveling. I really haven’t been prospecting or trying to focus on real estate right now,” she says. “I’ve been working on some other stuff, but I’m not ready to share what that is.”

Where does everybody stand with Sean after all the drama?

The office rumor mill went into overdrive this season after Austin accused Sean of spreading false rumors about his sex life, putting their once rock solid friendship in serious jeopardy. Things only take a turn for a worse after a confrontation between the two agents gets physical. At the end of the finale, it’s an office divided, as the agents each choose their sides in the clash, leaving the status of everyone’s relationship to Sean — who has since left The Oppenheim Group — unclear.

For Austin, there’s little hope of reconciliation with Sean, who he says crossed a major line. “Sean and I no longer speak, and I think that’s pretty clear why,” he says. “He made up some really personal lies about myself and then involved my wife, so I had my Will Smith moment and I’ve moved on. Now I’m really focused on just family, work, and giving my children the lives that they deserve. I don’t really have time for that stuff.”

There is, however, one person who’s still firmly in the former O Group agent’s corner. “Sean and I are pretty close,” says Alexandra Jarvis. “We talk regularly.”
