Perfect Match Season 2: Who’s Still Together After the Finale?

“I need contacts for my color blindness because I do not see red flags.”

Slide in a “Do Not Disturb” sign and pour yourself some tequila (body shot optional), because it’s time to catch up with the crew from Perfect Match Season 2

All season long, the Netflix Reality Universe’s most eligible singles have been mixing, matching (and yes, toe-sucking) to their heart's content in hopes of finding the man or woman of their dreams. That, of course, is easier said than done, as the couples are put to the test, enduring diabolically raunchy challenges — from blindfolded kissing to suspended thrusting — and battling temptations galore with every new arrival in the villa.

Naturally, some were more successful than others, but, hey, it’s all about the situationships they made along the way, right? Everything comes to a head in the jaw-dropping finale — and it’s safe to say Harry wasn’t the only one screaming, crying, and throwing up, etc. after all was revealed. So, now that the compatibility table has been powered down and the winners have been crowned, check out the video above, and then keep reading to find out who’s still together and where the Perfect Match Season 2 cast stands today.

Christine and Nigel “weren’t in the right headspace” to make it work.

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

Better late than never — Christine and Nigel were one of the last duos to couple up and the last ones standing at the end of the competition. The Too Hot to Handle stars made the very most of their precious moments in the villa together — and it paid off in the end, as they were voted the winners of Season 2 in a shocking final twist. “Nigel and I didn’t have the longest time with each other in the house, but our connection after was electric,” Christine tells Tudum. “We were unapologetically ourselves around each other.”

And they managed to outlast the other couples, too. After leaving Mexico, the two dated on and off for about nine months (Christine says she even suggested couples therapy) before ultimately going their separate ways. “I had the great opportunity to leave the show with a partner and experience them [as a] whole,” Nigel tells Tudum. “Unfortunately, after trying to work things out, we separated.” According to Christine, the relationship hit a snag when reality sunk in. “I have learned from our relationship that two people [who] have not fully healed from past traumas are only going to cause more damage, and deflect their insecurities onto one another,” she shares. “I have given my all to this relationship, but a partnership can only work when both are fully committed.” Despite how it ended, Nigel has no regrets about leaning fully into the experience. “I went in with an open mind and heart and gave it my all and ultimately ended up winning,” he says. “It’s possible to find love on TV. Regardless of the camera, the feelings are still real and the bonds are real.”

Both count themselves as single these days. Nigel has gone back to his “regularly scheduled program” of working, exercising, and filming content, while Christine is busy building her personal brand and dipping her toes into commercial acting. As for what the future holds for the pair, Christine is leaving some room for reconciliation. “Were we a ‘right person, wrong time,’ situation? Only time will tell, and what’s meant to be will be,” she says. “Neither of us were in the right headspace, but our hearts wanted to give it a shot.”

Micah and Kaz’s relationship was meant to “live and die” in Mexico.

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

After friend-zoning Izzy multiple times and orchestrating a mutually beneficial “wife swap,” Micah couples off with Kaz for the rest of the season. The two even manage to stick it out after Kaz’s hot and heavy detour with Christine and end their Perfect Match journey by each other’s side. But despite all that, their connection was snuffed out after filming ended. “We’re not together. Our relationship stayed in Mexico where it was meant to live … and die,” Micah tells Tudum. “I definitely don’t regret spending my time with him. There was a lot of drama and turmoil, but also a lot really great and fun moments that I’m really happy I experienced. He’s just not the person for me.”

As Kaz recalls, Micah was the one to cut things off, as rumors began swirling around events (including an alleged kiss with another cast member) that supposedly happened post-finale. “Before we even made it off the show, she sent me a text message saying that she truly hates me,” he claims. “It escalated very quickly, but she was messaging other people.” The two don’t currently speak, but reunited for the first time at Netflix’s Summer Break event in May, where they broke the ice after months of zero contact. “I hold no grudges anyway,” adds Kaz about reconnecting at the party.

These days, Micah is playing a different kind of game when it comes to relationships. “I am going to keep my love life private for now,” she says. “There’s going to be a hard launch when I have a ring on my finger and that will be the next time you guys hear from me.” But she’s also trying to learn and grow from her very public and not exactly successful dating experiences of late. “I need contacts for my colorblindness because I do not see red flags,” she jokes. Meanwhile, Kaz has already launched into a new romance. “I’ve argued with her only once, which is amazing,” he says about the new woman in his life. “She’s literally a genuine, very mature, and lovely person. She’s just everything you can look for, so I’m excited to see what happens.”

Stevan and Alara posing together by a pool.
Ana Blumenkron/Netflix

Long distance got the best of Alara and Stevan.

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

Stevan’s advice for a successful post-reality show relationship? “Don’t try and date someone who lives in another country,” he tells Tudum. Perhaps no one left the Perfect Match villa on stronger footing than Stevan and Alara, whose connection never wavered once from their very first match. But a long distance relationship proved too difficult for the pair: Stevan calls Los Angeles home, while Alara was London-based once filming wrapped. “We just really weren’t able to speak. By the time I was waking up, she was going to bed,” he explains. “I am not always on my phone like people think that I am. I barely post on social media, so it just didn’t work out in that sense.”

The breakdown in communication caused a rift between the two, who hadn’t spoken until Netflix’s Summer Break event. “I don’t think she took that too fondly, which I don’t blame her,” says Stevan. “It is a tough situation, but at the same time, I was true to myself and what I needed to do.” During the event, however, Alara made a point to pull Stevan for a much-needed conversation.

Since then, Stevan has embarked on a new relationship presumably much closer to home. “I’ve been working heavy and seeing somebody as well,” he says. “I’m just moving on with real life away from reality life.”

And while Alara might not necessarily agree, Stevan says he’s more than satisfied with who he was on the show and how he acted in the villa. “From my recollection, I just stayed true to myself and that’s all I try to do every single day,” he says. “That way, if shit does hit the fan, at least I can say that I made a mistake, rather than trying to act like something I’m not and regrettably do something.”

Bryton and Elys posing together on the beach.
Ana Blumenkron/Netflix

Bryton and Elys split due to “a lot of drama after filming.”

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

After matching with Harry, Chris, and then Justin, Elys ended her time in the Perfect Match villa coupled up with Bryton. During their first (and ultimately final) date, the two genuinely seem to connect, as the Squid Game: The Challenge star even offers to visit Elys in her hometown of London to give their budding connection a real chance.

Unfortunately, no international trips were booked after filming, as the two are no longer together. Chalking up their short-lived romance as “terrible judgement on [her] behalf,” Elys cryptically says they split due to “a lot of drama after filming with him.” But she’s since moved on to a new relationship with someone Too Hot to Handle fans will certainly recognize: Nathan from Season 3. “I’m madly in love with a gorgeous boy,” she tells Tudum. “It’s been almost a year now.” When she’s not bopping around London with her beau, Elys says she’s been modeling and traveling, in addition to launching her company Haus of Hutch with her sister.

The Cast of Perfect Match Share Their Relationship Red FlagsFrom dating faux pas to flirting misfires, we've got it all covered.

With Perfect Match in the rearview, Elys says she’s learned to speak more about how she’s feeling so “it doesn’t come too much as a surprise to people” because of her experience with the cast. “I’ve learned to stick to being yourself no matter how people try and sway you and play with you,” she adds.

As for Bryton, who’s currently in a new relationship, he’s not as invested in reflecting on the highs and lows of his journey. “I want to apologize to literally nobody from any fucking cast or any of the fans,” he says in a recent Instagram post. “I’m myself. I have my own beliefs the same way you have your own beliefs. I feel really sorry for you if you’re not a Christian or if you don’t believe in any sort of higher power. I am fully tapped into the villain role. I fully understand that none of you like me. I will continue to go that route of making you not like me.”

Chris and Tolú posing together by a pool.
Ana Blumenkron/Netflix

Chris and Tolú’s current relationship is “non-existent.”

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

Even Axel Stone’s famous dance moves couldn’t save Chris and Tolú from splitting after cameras turned off in Mexico. Turns out, everlasting love just wasn’t in the cards for The Trust winner and Dated & Related star, despite their strong and steady relationship throughout the final stretch of the competition.

So, what went wrong? As Tolú sees it, Chris didn’t turn out to be her very own Prince Charming at the end of the day. “There were ups and downs with my experience with Chris in the house,” she tells Tudum. “I don’t regret it. I learned a lot about myself, what I want in a relationship, and what I will never settle for in a partner. So fortunately for me, our relationship did not go past Mexico.”

And keep your expectations for a possible rekindling extremely low, as Tolú adds, “My relationship with Chris as of current is non-existent and I intend to keep it that way.”

But after moving from her hometown of Houston to Los Angeles, she’ll have to avoid fellow Angeleno, Chris, on the California coast. “I have the amazing opportunity to network with this amazing Netflix Reality Universe family that I’ve created out here,” she says. “This is the best life has ever been, ever.”

As for what her dating life looks like now, Tolú is happily tapping back into her main character energy. “Your girl is still single,” she shares. “I’m re-falling in love with myself, the baddest bitch that I know.”

While happily ever after might’ve been short-lived, Tolú isn’t living with any major regrets from the experience. “I went out of my comfort zone on the show, especially compared to The Trust where I led with my head and I kept my walls way up high,” says Tolú. “With Perfect Match, I led with my heart. I dropped my walls down and allowed myself to be vulnerable. The world now has a real exclusive peek into what it’s like to be around lovergirl T.” And, for the record, she still has plenty of love to give, especially when it comes to the other women in the villa. “The love aspect didn’t work romantically, but I found love on the show in every single one of the girls.”

Harry Jowsey and Jessica Vestal sitting on a couch together.

Harry and Jess are “definitely not enemies” … or friends.

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

While it lasted, Harry and Jess’ flame burned brighter than most. The two instantly connected once Jess entered the villa, despite the warnings from some other women, including his first match, Elys. “I didn’t even think I was even going to be on this show because the reality of it is I didn’t make it out of the pods. I didn’t get engaged [on Love Is Blind],” she tells Tudum, referencing her former relationship with Jimmy on Season 5. “I was just happy to be there, so the outcome is far beyond what my wildest dreams could have been.”

Their relationship endured a few bumps in the road, but as their time in the villa neared the end, the two went as far as to confess their love for one another. But that milestone was almost immediately ruined by Harry’s wandering eyes (and lips, according to Melinda), leading to their eventual split. As for where they stand now, Jess says, “I wouldn’t quite call us friends, but we’re definitely not enemies. At this point, I just have to meet him where he is. I mean, Harry is Harry.” The Too Hot to Handle alum, for the record, wishes he “did a lot of things differently” looking back on the bumpier-than-usual experience. “I’ve grown so much and done so much work on myself in the last year,” he says. “Now I get to look at that version of Harry and be like, ‘OK, well, thank God I’m not like that anymore.’ I get to evaluate myself and make sure that that doesn’t happen again.”

Regardless of how things ended, Jess remains “grateful of [her] experience” with Harry. As for what her dating life looks like now, she’s playing coy: “I’m trying to hold my cards a little close to my chest with that one right now.” Plus, her non-romantic relationships are the ones that have been sustaining her lately. “You’re going to have a million problems in life, especially with men, but your friendships with women absolutely don’t have to be one of them,” she says, crediting her close girlfriends in the villa for providing solace during tough times.

For the time being, Harry isn’t focusing on romantic relationships either, adding, “Oh, I’m violently single.” Booked and busy with reality appearances galore and a new podcast Boyfriend Material, he’s cautious about making any commitments at this stage of life. “I’m just not an easy person to date. I’m very busy and bringing someone into that world is really tough,” he says. “I feel like I would be doing a disservice to anyone to put that burden on them. But when that person does pop up, [I want to be] fully prepared and ready to give them everything that they need.”

Izzy Zapata

Izzy is (almost) ready to pop the question.

STATUS: IN A RELATIONSHIP

Spitting game wasn’t exactly Izzy’s strong suit in the villa, but, thankfully, he’s been much more successful back at home. “I’ve been dating a girl this entire time,” he tells Tudum. “It’s getting very serious, so I’ve just been very present with her. She went through the ride with me after Love Is Blind, and it’s really just been progressing. We’ll probably get engaged at the end of the year.” And while he may not have wooed Micah, his fellow Love Is Blind alum vouches for the woman in Izzy’s life. “Izzy and his girlfriend are wonderful people, and they definitely have a great relationship,” she says. “I’m really happy for him and love her as well.”

Looking back on his Perfect Match journey, Izzy is well aware that he came on a bit strong. “I definitely wouldn’t have gone in with the Love Is Blind mentality and went in a little bit more lighthearted and not so intense,” he says. “It freaked some people out a little bit, but I was just being true to myself and what I was really looking for at the end of it.” But stepping outside of his comfort zone is an experience he wouldn’t trade for anything at this stage of his life. “It helped me bring a little bit more confidence to myself. I can be a bit of a shy, reserved guy sometimes until I get tequila in my system,” he adds. “It is definitely more intimidating when you meet face-to-face versus behind a wall.”

Brittan Byrd

Brittan is focusing on “self-love.”

STATUS: TBD

Stepping into Perfect Match as a late arrival wasn’t exactly what Brittan was expecting in the competition. “I just wish I had entered at a different time than I did. With everyone already coupled up, I feel I didn’t have the same opportunities as others to form connections,” she tells Tudum. To connect in the villa, Brittan says she had to be “more forceful in order to have the most basic of conversations” with her housemates –– which isn’t her normal speed, especially in plain view of their partners. “I’m a free spirit, who thrives on organic bonds, and I truly believe things would have gone differently if I was put in a more welcoming environment.”

But Brittan’s friendships with a group of women in the house, including Dominique, Xanthi, and Christine, have never been stronger since filming ended. “They have been my lifelines,” she says. “Love comes in many forms, and you can’t force it. Focusing on my self-love and platonic love with friends has brought me to a whole new phase of my life. I feel grounded. I feel seen. I feel supported. And ironically, this has put me in a better position than I was before to find romantic love.” Otherwise, Brittan is focused on diving deep into new ventures including acting, art, and Pilates. “Passion comes in many forms, and a fire has been relit to pursue all things that make me feel alive again.”

Dominque Defoe

Dominique is done with  “heteronormative shit.”

STATUS: IN A RELATIONSHIP

After two disastrous connections, it became abundantly clear to Dominique that looking for love in the Perfect Match villa was a lost cause. Her physical attraction to Bryton fizzled out almost immediately after the pair clashed over just about everything —  from their approach to challenges to whether yoga is considered a workout. “I had who I am as a person and the values I uphold myself on challenged deeply on this show,” she tells Tudum. “I have learned that no matter what a person says and regardless of what situation I am in, I will always be someone who moves with love and protects and defends people's right to be who they are and love who they want.”

And when it came to Chris, things didn’t exactly get much better — she says he viewed her bisexuality only as a “gimmick.” Dominique ultimately chose to exit the villa on her own terms, intent on not continuing a relationship with either man in the future. “As much as I wanted to be here and fall in love, I’m not going to fake a connection because you obviously have an issue with my sexuality,” she says. “I’m not going to compromise who I am and devalue myself by begging just so I can stay in this house. I would rather leave.”

Despite how her journey ended, Dominique is grateful for the experience. “I will never regret opening myself up to love, no matter how painful it can be,” she says. “It's one of the most beautiful things in the world and it's something no one can take away from me so no, I don't regret trying and I don't regret leaving when I knew it wasn't there for me.” Trusting her instincts turned out to be the best outcome, as Dominique has since become very much attached to a new woman, who’s made her feel completely at home in herself and her identity. “I'm constantly learning something new about myself,” she says about the relationship. “Being with them makes me a more expansive person. The life that we create for ourselves is capable of going obviously beyond just the same old heteronormative shit.”

Now, she’s focusing on channeling all of that energy and more into a new venture. “I decided to put my imagination to good use and have been writing a queer enemies to lovers rom com novel about two bisexual women.” Check out our interview with Dominique as she further reflects on her Perfect Match journey.

Justin Assada

Justin is at peace with going“full certified loverboy.”

STATUS: TBD

The Surviving Paradise star plunged into a relationship with Elys following a less-than-successful first date in an ice bath. But from there, things heated up between the two, as they solidified their connection and developed a genuine affection for one another … or so Justin thought. In the final stretch of the competition, Elys blindsides him by matching with Bryton, prompting Justin’s swift exit from the villa. “Part of me wishes that I would’ve explored more options with other individuals,” he tells Tudum. “I went full certified loverboy and paid the price. I don’t regret my approach, though. I tried to stay authentic to myself, and I had such a fun time.”

With some distance from his Perfect Match journey, staying true to himself is what kept Justin levelheaded in the competition — and his friendships with “Cenote Boys” Harry, Steve, Kaz, and Chris, who he speaks with regularly. Justin says he’s learned to “not seek valuation of yourself in the eyes of other people” going forward. “You are special and your opinion of yourself matters the most.” Looking ahead, Justin is preparing for a big move to the West Coast from his hometown of Boston. “Since Perfect Match ended, I’ve been traveling quite a bit, enjoying the little things in life, and spending a lot of time with my family before finalizing my move,” he says. “I have a lot of exciting things that I can’t wait to share with everyone soon.”

Melinda Berry

Melinda found her perfect match … outside the villa.

STATUS: IN A RELATIONSHIP

Melinda wasted no time in the house making connections for better or for worse (more on that later, of course). But her failure to match in the villa ended up being the best thing to happen to the Too Hot to Handle alum. “I didn’t find my perfect match in the house, but I found him outside the house and everything is going so well,” she tells Tudum. “I’m currently dating someone and I’m super happy.”

As for how he stacks up to men in her past, Melinda says her new guy is “totally different” than the guys she’s typically drawn to. “For one, we have the same personality and he’s such a caring guy. I’ve never had a guy that cared so much about my happiness and making sure that my needs are met when I’m least expecting it.”

Among the Perfect Match crew, Melinda is keeping her circle small these days. “I’m in a group chat with Xanthi and Dominique. Nigel is my guy, and that’s pretty much it,” she adds. “I don’t really talk to anyone else because I don’t like anyone else.” As for where she stands with Harry, Melinda is all about reconciliation ... with some conditions. “I want a nice sit-down. I want him to look me in the face and apologize to me,” she says. “That’s what I want.” After a one-on-one conversation with Jess following their heated argument, Melinda says the two “got to a better place” regarding what went down during the infamous beach day. “I also personally DM-ed her a few months ago just to apologize again for the situation.” To learn more about what went down between Melinda and Harry, check out our interview with Melinda about their secret kiss.

Holly talks to Kaz

“Being glamorous” is the only thing Holly is committing to right now.

STATUS: TBD

Short, sweet, and extremely muddy, Holly’s time on Perfect Match didn’t yield any lasting love connections. Despite hitting it off with Kaz during their date (and locking lips with him in the villa), the Too Hot to Handle alum failed to match with anyone, resulting in her eventual exit from the competition. “I feel like things would have potentially been different if I had started off in the house and had gotten the opportunity to get to know everyone,” Holly tells Tudum. “Honestly, I feel like I gave it my best shot! I put myself out there and was open to the experience.”

While she isn’t spilling on her current relationship status, Holly shares that a certain someone from the cast pursued her after filming. “Justin did ask me out which was so ironic. But yes, I did not find my perfect match,” she reveals. As for her current outlook on love and life, Holly is living by a new mantra. “Never accept mediocracy, and just be open to life, love, and experiences,” she says, adding that she learned the importance of “staying true to yourself” over the course of her Perfect Match journey.

And with a new home base, Holly just might meet her perfect match across the pond. “I have moved out to London, and now [live] between there and Los Angeles,” she shares. “I have been doing lot of traveling, shopping, and just continuing [to be] glamorous.”

Chris Hahn and Xanthi Perdikomatis

Xanthi is “single and thriving” in Boston.

STATUS: SINGLE

Kissing a bunch of frogs wasn’t a part of Xanthi’s game plan, and she’s all the better for it. After her initial match, Stefan, paired off with newcomer Alara, The Circle Season 5 alum chose to leave the villa on her own terms. “Life for me has just been super,” she tells Tudum. “I’m living in Boston. I love my hometown and it’s super close to my family, so I don’t plan on making a move to Los Angeles anytime soon.” Traveling, being an Instagram influencer, and, of course, being a part of the Netflix Reality Universe is what she’s focused on as of late. “I’ve just been getting my feet wet in different things, trying new things.”

The same holds true for dating with Xanthi. “I am testing all the waters. I want to know what’s out there,” she adds “I don’t want to settle, so I’m single and thriving.” After two attempts at finding love in the public eye, she’s now reconsidering her approach to romance. “I don’t know if dating men in the limelight works for me.”
