Are you ready to be lured by Sirens?
Academy Award–winning actor Julianne Moore (May December, Mary & George), Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, The Perfect Couple), and Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow) are set to star in the upcoming female-driven series Sirens, which has begun production in New York.
Moore, Fahy, and Alcock will be joined by Kevin Bacon (City on a Hill, MaXXXine, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F) and Glenn Howerton (BlackBerry, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). The recurring cast, which includes Josh Segarra (Scream, Abbott Elementary), has also been announced.
Sirens will be the first project from Maid showrunner Molly Smith Metzler’s creative partnership with Netflix — and it sounds like we’ll get a good dose of rich people behaving badly. Read on for more juicy tidbits about the plot and full cast.
What’s Sirens about?
The dark comedy will follow Devon (Fahy), who’s concerned about her sister Simone’s creepy relationship with her new employer, the mysterious socialite and animal activist Michaela Kell (Moore). Michaela’s cultish, ultra-luxurious lifestyle is like a drug to Simone (Alcock), and Devon thinks it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to find out WTF is going on, she underestimates what you’re in for when you have Michaela as an enemy.
Told over the course of a drama-filled weekend at the Kells’ lavish beach estate, Sirens is an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.
