Newsweek Advisory Board member David Wan is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Harvard Business Publishing and a Member of the Board of Governors at Yale University Press. He is also a board member of two new digital content businesses, Audily and CERTD. Wan served as Chief Executive Officer for Harvard Business Publishing for nineteen years and is credited for having transformed the organization into a global leader in the practice of management.

Previously, Wan served as president of the Penguin Publishing Group and before, president of K-12 Publishing Group, Simon & Schuster's umbrella group for elementary and secondary education operations. He held a number of senior positions at Simon and Schuster, including executive vice president. Prior to entering the publishing and media industry, Wan held management positions in consulting and finance at Arthur Andersen (now Accenture), PepsiCo and Paine Webber. A native of New York City, he has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in engineering and applied science from Yale University.
