Melania Trump Slammed for Appearing to Wear White at Wedding—'Too Close'

Melania Trump is under fire for appearing to wear white at Tiffany Trump and Michael Boulos' Florida wedding on Saturday.

The former First Lady of the United States, 52, opted for a cream-colored, floor-length dress with a simple belt, and wore her hair down in loose waves.

Tiffany Trump, 29, is the fourth child of former President Donald Trump and his only child with his second wife, Marla Maples. The former couple were married from 1993 to 1999.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, 76, met Melania while she was working as a model in New York after immigrating to the U.S. from Slovenia in 1996. They wed in 2005.

On Saturday, November 12, Tiffany Trump and Boulos, 25, a Lebanese-American businessman, tied the knot at her father's Mar-a-Lago estate, despite the threat of Hurricane Nicole ruining their big day.

The tropical storm made landfall along the east coast of Florida on Thursday before making its way through the Carolinas and Virginia on Friday, and the Northeast and eastern Canada on Saturday.

Donald Trump took to the social-media platform Truth Social to confirm the wedding went ahead as scheduled.

"She and Michael are a beautiful couple who will be very happy together," he said of his daughter. "A big thank you and congratulations to Tiffany's mother, Marla, on the bringing up of a really great daughter!"

Twitter user Natalie Betance shared several photos of Melania Trump's wedding look with the caption, "Lol Ivanka cropped out Kimberly Guilfoyle from Tiffany's wedding photos."

The comment referred to Ivanka Trump seemingly cutting her brother Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend, Guilfoyle, 53, from an image posted to her Instagram grid. Later, she shared the same image including the television presenter to her Instagram Story. At the time of publication, the post garnered more than 48,000 likes.

In the comments, one person wrote, "Who gave permission for Melania to wear cream to her stepdaughter's wedding?"

"And Melania is wearing cream. Both are wedding faux pas. And Lara Trump's dress defies description," another user agreed, referring to Eric Trump's wife's unusually long sleeves. The comment quickly received nearly 400 likes.

"Melania wears white to Tiffany's wedding, AN ABSOLUTE NO NO," another poster commented. "And Lara wearing her dress for the VMAs? Certainly not someone's wedding."

"Forget the black, forget that Melania's dress is wayyyyy too close to white to be kosher..." a fourth wrote. "WHY IS LARA'S DRESS SILVER, MORE JEWELLED THAN THE BRIDE'S *AND* SEE THROUGH?!?"

Newsweek reached out to Melania Trump's representative for comment.
