Klay Thompson will officially be embarking on a new journey.
The five-time All-Star agreed to a three-year, $50 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks that could become official as soon as this weekend.
While there have been reactions from longtime teammates Draymond Green and Stephen Curry, and even Thompson's dad on the matter, Klay had yet to say anything.

Thompson took to his Instagram to post a heartfelt message to the Golden State organization and fans.
"Oh Bay Area , there are not enough words and images to convey how I really feel about yall," Thompson wrote. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for the best times of my life. It was such an honor to put that Dubs jersey on from day 1. I really just wanted to be the best I could be and help bring as many championships as possible to the region. The best part was not the rings though, it was the friendships I made that will last a lifetime . My family and I would like to thank all of the amazing people who work tirelessly to make the Warriors organization world-class. Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened . Until we meet again. Thompson leaves Golden State as a four-time champion. He was a member of one of the greatest "Big Threes" of all time alongside Curry and Green, and one of the most dominant teams ever alongside Curry, Green, and Kevin Durant.
Thompson's legacy will forever live on as one of the greatest players to ever don a Warriors jersey, and one of the greatest shooters to ever play in basketball history.
Thompson finishes his Warriors career averaging 19.6 points on 45.3 percent shooting from the field, 41.3 percent shooting from deep, and 85.8 percent shooting from the free throw line across his 793 games. Along with being a five-time All-Star, he was a two-time All-NBA Team honoree and a member of the 2018-19 All-Defensive 2nd Team.
Now, Thompson will continue his NBA career in Dallas where he'll look to help them get back to the NBA Finals. The Mavericks lost in five games to the Boston Celtics in last month's finals.
As for his time with the Warriors, he'll forever be immortalized in Golden State history as the team announced they'll retire his No. 11 jersey following his retirement.
