All the Content Coming to Disney+ for 'Star Wars' Day

May the Fourth is upon us once again, marking another year of celebrations for fans of the Star Wars franchise.

The day is an auspicious one for fans as the date references the iconic phrase "may the force be with you," which was first said in the original Star Wars film A New Hope in 1977.

Disney+ is the home for any and all content of the Lucasfilm franchise, and there are plenty of films and TV shows for fans to watch to celebrate Wednesday, May 4.

Here is what is coming to the streaming platform on the iconic date.

2022 marks the release of several Star Wars shows on Disney+, the most recent of which was The Book of Boba Fett, which concluded on February 9.

To mark May 4 the behind-the-scenes documentary Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett will be released, giving fans a closer look at the making of the series.

As with previous Disney Gallery specials, the one centered on The Book of Boba Fett will see the cast and creative team of the series discuss the show in detail, and reveal how they kept certain secrets like a cameo from Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson).

In terms of new content, the documentary is the only show that is being added to Disney+ on Star Wars Day in 2022.

While there are no other films or shows being added to Disney+ on May 4, the streaming platform already has a huge Star Wars collection for fans to dig into on the day.

There are the films in the Skywalker saga and spinoff movies like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Fans can also rewatch their favorite shows from the franchise including The Mandalorian Season 1 and 2 and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Other animated shows available to watch include Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 1, and anime series Star Wars: Visions.

Fans will have to wait patiently for the next big Star Wars show to land on Disney+ because Obi-Wan Kenobi won't be released until Friday, May 27.

The limited series will see Ewan McGregor return to the role of Obi-Wan, and it will follow his character in the period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

Hayden Christensen will also reprise his role as Darth Vader, formerly Anakin Skywalker, and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy previously claimed the show will feature the "rematch of the century."

Other Star Wars shows set to come out in 2022 include Rogue One prequel series Andor, starring Diego Luna, and The Bad Batch Season 2.
