Trevor Noah's 'Daily Show' Election Special: When It Starts and How to Watch Online

Don't think for one second that the 2020 election will interfere with Trevor Noah's mission to keep it real on The Daily Show on Tuesday night. If anything, viewers will get an even bigger dose of the late-night host because of the election.

The Daily Show will air a special election episode—the live, hourlong "Votegasm 2020: What Could Go Wrong? (Again)"—beginning at 11 p.m. ET. However, the show won't just air on its home network of Comedy Central. The Daily Show's 2020 election episode will also be broadcast on other ViacomCBS networks, including MTV, MTV2, VH1, BET, BET Her and Pop TV.

Folks without access to television will also be able to live stream the show from any smart device for free on The Daily Show's Facebook, YouTube and Twitter channels.

Viewers can expect Noah to muse over the top headlines of election day and the standing of President Donald Trump and his Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, as votes across the country continue to roll in. He'll get some help with all the election banter from the likes of Don Cheadle and Tressie McMillan Cottom, who are both expected to appear on the show. Special correspondent Jordan Klepper will also be on hand, providing a breakdown of all of the major developments.

Of course, Noah won't be the only late-night host covering every aspect of the 2020 election.

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert will also appear in an after-hours election special, Stephen Colbert's Election Night 2020: Democracy's Last Stand: Building Back America Great Again Better 2020. Similar to the hourlong special Colbert hosted during the 2016 election between Trump and his then Democrat rival Hillary Clinton, Democracy's Last Stand will not air on Colbert's CBS home, but rather on Showtime, beginning at 11 p.m. ET.

Back in 2016, Colbert was mid-show as results for Florida came in, when it was revealed that Trump had taken the state, resulting in the audience letting out a collective and dramatic gasp.

Viewers can tune in to Colbert's election night special via live stream on the Showtime website and app. The episode will also be available on-demand on Showtime on Wednesday. However, viewers will need to have a Showtime account to stream both the live and on-demand show on Showtime.

As for fellow late-night players Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, whose shows air on NBC and ABC respectively, they're both off for the night in lieu of election coverage. NBC journalists will cover the election from their end in Decision 2020 programming, expected to run on Tuesday night from 7 p.m. ET until at least 4 a.m. ET.

Meanwhile, ABC's Your Voice/Your Vote: Election Night 2020 coverage will run from 7 p.m. ET to 11 p.m. ET and take a short break for Eyewitness News at 11. Election coverage is expected to resume on ABC beginning at 11:30 p.m. ET and last throughout the night.
