Munch's Masterpieces Said to Be Recovered

Norwegian police are reporting the recovery of two paintings that they believe are Edvard Munch's "The Scream" and "Madonna." The paintings were stolen from an Oslo museum in a daylight raid in 2004. Police recovered the paintings this afternoon. They "believe these are the originals," but are awaiting expert authentication.

Getty Exhibit Explores Rubens-Brueghel Bond

A new exhibition at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles explores the close partnership between two great 17th-century painters, Peter Paul Rubens and Jan Brueghel the Elder.
