What to Know

Critics Consensus

Louder, campier, and more incoherent than its predecessors, Blade: Trinity seems content to emphasize style over substance and rehash familiar themes.

James Christopher Times (UK) I'm a great fan of Blade, the Marvel Comics vampire hunter played by Wesley Snipes... But a third episode, Blade: Trinity, directed by David S. Goyer, is a blood fest too far. Jul 21, 2015 Full Review Nell Minow Common Sense Media For series fans only. Definitely NOT for kids! Apr 25, 2007 Full Review Joseph Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast Low-stakes action, nonexistent character development, campy villains, and a sidelined main character make the film feel like it's trying to ice skate uphill. Harrison D It would be great if there will be Blade 3. I really love the movie. Looking forward. I hope it is still possible. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review Michael C The Blade Trilogy is so freaking amazing and epic and the third installment didn't disappoint at all like still one of my faves!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review matthias s "Blade: Trinity" earns a generous 2.5 stars. Jessica Biel's acting is abysmal, and the film feels more like a spinoff, sidelining Blade himself. The visual effects are disappointingly bad, marking a clear downgrade from its predecessors. The director seems clueless, presenting an underdeveloped plot and characters. Casting Dracula as the villain demanded a more compelling actor and story. If this was meant to be a grand finale, they should have included more Marvel characters to take down Dracula instead of relying on two lackluster sidekicks. Ryan Reynolds brings his signature humor, which I enjoyed, but it doesn't resonate with most fans. As a trilogy conclusion, it's a letdown, leaving everything feeling unfinished. Despite its flaws, I did have a good time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/24 Full Review Audience Member Jesus lord this was a miserable waste of film. Absolutely nothing like the first two films. As a huge fan of the Blade franchise, I couldn’t have been more disappointed in this film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/24 Full Review Derek L Not even Ryan Reynolds' performance could even help prevent Blade's third instalment from being a disaster with very messy and chaotic editing, poor dialogue and action sequences and characters that felt rather forgettable. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/23/24 Full Review Howard H Great characters and written well. Dialogue from some characters is hilarious at times.
