Ed Gonzalez House Next Door Borat's cultural learning is revealing, even if it doesn't adequately convey how it benefits glorious nation of Kazakhstan. Jul 16, 2008 Full Review David Ansen Newsweek The backlash just proves how deep a nerve the faux Kazakh journalist has hit. Nov 1, 2007 Full Review Brian Tallerico UGO The genius of Borat is all in Sacha Baron Cohen's daring, edgy, unrestrained performance. Mar 24, 2007 Full Review David Walsh World Socialist Web Site In the tactics of Cohen, Charles and their collaborators ... there is a level of social insularity, sneering and intellectual sadism that is positively disturbing. Feb 14, 2021 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Borat is funny, spleen-bursting funny, although you may catch yourself wondering if these are the kind of jokes you should be laughing at. Rated: 4/5 Jan 31, 2021 Full Review Micheal Compton Bowling Green Daily News It wallows gleefully in its very un-PC humor, but that is part of what makes it work so well. Cohen and director Larry Charles make the unthinkable funny -- and in the process might just get you to think about racism, bigotry and sexism. Nov 20, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Luke D The Central Asia region is incredibly diverse and complex. As someone born in Kazakhstan and now living in the U.S., I can't help but wonder if the people I interact with hold any preconceived beliefs and stereotypes based solely on their and perception n to this film. While I understand that the movie takes a satirical approach to immigrants and cultural differences, I personally feel that its humor may not have aged well. But again. It is a review and a personal opinion at the end of the day, and I'm not here to change your minds or beliefs. Just here to share! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Kyle C Overwhelmingly hilarious, led to perfection by Sacha Baron Cohen. It shines the brightest when it uses its satire to call out real people’s real, abhorrent behavior. It feels questionable when you witness seemingly “good” people being harassed by this weirdo. Is it offensive? Yup. But if it didn’t go “too far”, it wouldn’t have gone far enough. It makes you step back and reflect on why you laugh at certain situations, while others make you cringe or stare in awed silence. This film makes no claim as to where the line is, but it certainly crosses it (and it’s worth noting that, wherever the line used to be in 2006, it has certainly moved since then). It has rightfully earned its place in cultural relevance and has a surprising amount to say about American culture, in between the egregiously offensive jokes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/24 Full Review Average P Undoubtably ground-breaking. I guess your rating depends on how comfortable you are with other people being humiliated, even when they deserve it Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Zane Victor V The best comedy of all time, I have no words… 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/18/24 Full Review Audience Member I think this movie is more interesting as an analysis on satire of America as opposed to watching it all the way through. Some of the situations are definitely uncomfortable, and I just couldn't get on board with that knowing it was staged. It's also rather offensive, which I know is to make a point, but I didn't want to watch that nonetheless. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Kelvin T funny af..enough said..
