And you know what? I enjoyed the baseball scenes. In fact, almost any time the players were on the field, I was entertained. Unfortunately, I didn't really care for the story off the field. Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, and Tim Robbins all did a fine job acting, I just didn't like their characters or the choices they made. It's also much more tawdry and vulgar than it needed to be. It could have been a pretty great romantic comedy, if not for that.
