A world away from what he's used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother's suicide. Eliza Berman TIME Magazine “Ice Chips” is a deviation from this trend. The scars and trauma that propel it are largely the emotional kind. It traffics in mundanity, presenting labor as simultaneously overwhelming and normal, dramatic and familiar. Jul 5, 2024 Full Review Nadira Goffe Slate In many ways, The Bear’s latest season is the same circus of agita and the beauty of human connection it has always been. Jul 1, 2024 Full Review Shirley Li The Atlantic The Bear makes its own kind of music in Season 3. Episodes play like symphonies of images rather than conventional, plot-driven television. Jun 28, 2024 Full Review Jared Mobarak Hey, Have You Seen ...? Whereas Storer has been fantastic at letting the plot run through character development, he's lost in a disconnect here. Those aspects are operating individually in a way that shows how superior the latter is to the former. Rated: 7/10 Jul 5, 2024 Full Review James Delingpole The Spectator The Bear does deserve the three Michelin stars most critics and viewers are giving it. Once you’ve got past the chaos and initial incomprehensibility, it feels like hanging with old friends. Jul 5, 2024 Full Review Santanu Das Hindustan Times Ayo Edebiri directs the best episode of the best show on air right now. Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Mary Lou E This season showcases the main characters at the restaurant and what is happening in each of their lives. As always, I like the cooking and restaurant scenes, but this season explains how they got there and why they stay. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Billie O Another great roller coaster ride. Yes, there is a lot of anxiety this season. If you’ve worked in a busy restaurant, you get it. If you’re the child of an alcoholic, you get it. If you’ve had a baby… ice chips, you GET IT! Great episode! Season 4 cannot come fast enough for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review David P I once ate at a super artisianal restaurant. It was a place I had always wanted to go to. The experience was not to my liking. Much like this show, there was artistry but I would have preferred something different. This season of "The Bear" is kinda like that. Slow, difficult and I'm not sure it's really a comedy. Loved the last episode though but I am not sure the journey was worth it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Connor E Season 1 and 2 great. Awful season 3. Completely ignored story from end of season 2 that everyone wanted to see continue. Entire episodes of just mundane boring happenings like job huntings, flashbacks, and giving birth. What were they thinking? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Jera B Not everyone’s a fan of the risks they took this season. The show continues to get more experimental each season. I applaud the writers for their ongoing creativity, especially the new ways they honor the food industry this season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/24 Full Review Ben D Season 3 was terrible. Seasons 1 and 2 were good. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
