David Denby New York Magazine/Vulture Even those unfamiliar with Strachey's biographies may be fascinated by Jonathan Pryce's impersonation of him in Carrington. Dec 31, 2019 Full Review David Ansen Newsweek This is Hampton's impressive debut as a director; he tells his story with a tactful English reserve that allows deep feelings to find their own way to the surface. He's given a great assist from Michael Nyman's score. Feb 23, 2018 Full Review Stanley Kauffmann The New Republic We feel a tingle of anticipation that this picture is going to be handled intelligently. And it is. Jan 9, 2018 Full Review Sheila Reid Women in the Life The acting is great and the story is unbelievable especially given its time period and the fact that it is based on a true story. Check it out. May 16, 2022 Full Review Jackie Potts Miami Herald For ail its grace, Carrington is a superficial treatment of an urbane but obscure bunch Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 18, 2021 Full Review Gabriele Annan The New York Review of Books A lot has gone wrong. The film suffers from too much detail and too little change of pace. Aug 16, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Es una buena anecdota, pero no es trascendente. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member By far the best character study of the last 30 years!, Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Non so perché, ma sono straordinariamente e appassionatamente affezionato a questo film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I relate to the story somehow, a woman, impulsive yet self conscious with her gay best friend. A bohemian life. Interesting biography.
