Peter Bradshaw Guardian It’s a strange film in many ways, affectless and directionless, coolly refusing the usual dramatic beats and climactic moments, and as unreflective as MOR rock. Rated: 5/5 Sep 15, 2023 Full Review Chuck Bowen Slant Magazine The meaninglessness of it all is the meaning of the film. Mar 20, 2023 Full Review Ben Thompson Sight & Sound Few of these people are going anywhere, but they are not going anywhere with style and dignity. Feb 6, 2020 Full Review Noah Berlatsky Splice Today Linklater, though, thinks everyone should have a chance to be who they are—or, like Mike briefly experimenting with being a tough guy, a chance to be who they aren’t. Sep 25, 2023 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault The movie’s vibe is warm and good-natured, and we feel welcomed into the world of the cool older kids. Rated: A Sep 18, 2023 Full Review Josh Larsen LarsenOnFilm ...doubles as a treatise on the American experiment as a whole. Rated: 4/4 Sep 14, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Richard Alright alright alright Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Vítor B This movie is capable of transporting the audience back to the 70s and feel a little nostalgia when it ends. Something only a few other titles did with mastery. As many said, the movie says so little, but it says it all. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review A.L.Jude P It will shoot you to the outer space in seconds. What a movie ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review yin l teenagers being teenagers, but showing the individuality of each person throughout the entire movie. the actors were practically made for their roles, and they did not miss on the 70s outfits. one of the best movies ive seen, consider this your sign to watch it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review Tim O This (and Fast Times...) is easily my favorite High School comedy. As someone that 'lived' the era (a tad younger than Wylie Wiggen's character), this reads a ton like original life. More catchphrases and now-well-known actors per square inch than half a dozen other films. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/23 Full Review GalAxelN An absolutely fantastic film with characters you learn to like during the course of the film. Even though I didn't grow up during the period it is set in, I could still see myself in the characters and empathize with their problems and their successes. I strongly recommend that you see this film and it is also a good film to watch with the family but maybe with slightly older children as some of the actions of the film are not suitable for all ages.
