Audience Member Los mismos que se quejan de que el publico peruano no apoya el cine nacional son los que entregan mamarrachos como este. Pésima. La falta de recursos no es excusa. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Tpe Film Fest: Forget the main plot of the story: Spoiled siblings, one incestuous, the other a whore; an ass-wipe father, an absent mother, and a new stepmother with a poor Peruvian past attempting to fit into her new superficial and boring social circle (but never will). Instead, it is most fascinating to see Peru through the eyes of the elite. I wonder if the Taiwanese moviegoers will be able to make comparisons between the native Peruvian maids serving the Spanish there and the Filipino maids answering to the whims of the Chinese here in Taiwan. The final scene is classic elitist motherhood. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member The last song is good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the last scene Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Underneath that Vanity Fair, when you have to live up to expectations, or you try live a life not quite your own, you officially live the life of others. You hear emptiness roars - silence becomes the new loud / hustle and bustle of the crowd turns deafeningly maddening. Despite all the drama, when people occasionally got caught off-guard - on the corner of their eyes there always is a blink of angst and fear... no matter how good a camou they had put on. Maybe the director has indeed done a great job capturing that restlessness, but perhaps I just don't like the emptiness that much; the movie seems to me had failed to scratch on where it tickles, leaving the characters shapeless, or worse, faceless. Maybe there indeed isn't a point to make, but then I remember sitting there wondering to myself - "When is this drag gonna be over?!" Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Rich and fucked up people being rich and fucked up, entertaining little film with some good performances.
