Critics Consensus

Shamelessly derivative and only sporadically funny, Due Date doesn't live up to the possibilities suggested by its talented director and marvelously mismatched stars.

Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online Oscar-nominated actor Robert Downey Jr. usually has a knack for picking good movies. But Due Date is not one of them. Rated: D Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Peter Rainer Christian Science Monitor Downey is not entirely comfortable playing straight man and a little of Galifianakis's antics goes a long way. Rated: C Jan 3, 2011 Full Review Jim Schembri The Age (Australia) It's a tough double act, but the film pulls it off with great confidence and some major laughs. Rated: 3/5 Nov 24, 2010 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson Due Date is a big step down, like fall-down-an-escalator down. Rated: 1/5 Apr 7, 2024 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Like most of Phillips’ comedies, the movie’s half-life is brief, leaving the viewer only temporarily diverted until the moment it’s over. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 3, 2023 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …Due Date isn’t a particularly substantial film, but top talent in front of the camera make it watchable middlebrow fare… Rated: 3/5 Feb 28, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Susan B The movie is hilarious from the beginning to the end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/28/24 Full Review Nate J A pretty outrageous comedy that is the equivalent of a sweaty overlong roadtrip of misfortunate events. It is rapid fire comedy, sometimes obnoxious, often exhausting, but in this barren comedy landscape this film is standout. Worth a watch if you like either Galifinakis or the other guy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/18/24 Full Review David C La actuación de Robert Downey Jr es buenísima los diálogos son muy graciosos está muy bien echa la historia Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/28/24 Full Review Larry K Hilarious movie. Has its serious moments too. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/21/24 Full Review James N I don't understand the hate, this is one of my favorite comedies. SO funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review A B It's like a buddy movie where the cooler guy gets set up for an adventure with a quixotic buddy who later grows on you, only in this movie neither character is likable. I found myself wondering what I should do after the movie, when I was still watching the movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
