Fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) follows in the footsteps of her famous brother, Sherlock (Henry Cavill), and opens her own agency -- only to find that life as a female detective-for-hire isn't as easy as it seems. Resigned to accepting the cold realities of adulthood, she is about to close shop when a penniless matchstick girl offers Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister. But this case proves to be far more puzzling than expected, as Enola is thrown into a dangerous new world -- from London's sinister factories and colorful music halls, to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street itself. As the sparks of a deadly conspiracy ignite, Enola must call upon the help of friends -- and Sherlock himself -- to unravel her mystery. The game, it seems, has found its feet again! Enola Holmes 2

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Building on its predecessor with boisterously entertaining flair, Enola Holmes 2 solves the mystery of how to make a satisfying sequel -- and makes it look positively elementary.

Audience Says

This franchise still definitely isn't for Sherlock purists, but Enola Holmes 2 is an entertaining follow-up to the original.

Laura Sirikul Empire Magazine Despite following the same formula as its predecessor, Enola Holmes 2 keeps up the charm and humour with a crafty mystery filled with entertaining twists and turns. Rated: 3/5 Mar 12, 2023 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) These Enola Holmes films are just great, striking an excellent balance of action, witty humor and a dark edge. Nov 29, 2022 Full Review Kimber Myers Crooked Marquee Even though it’s a sequel, set in a familiar world with characters who have appeared on screen in countless iterations, Enola Holmes 2 still manages to feel fresh. Rated: B+ Nov 24, 2022 Full Review Branyan Towe Loud and Clear Reviews Enola Holmes 2 improves on its predecessor and will make you want to see more films set in this franchise. It builds a fascinating new mystery for Enola Holmes and Sherlock Holmes to solve, one that will see both characters grow as they team up Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 29, 2024 Full Review Pallavi Keswani The Hindu A remarkable sequel that gives the audience a lively Holmes to cheer for. Jan 23, 2024 Full Review Manuel São Bento FirstShowing.net Enola Holmes 2 maintains the levels of light, adventurous fun of the original, surpassing it due to a much more cohesive, intriguing central narrative, in addition to overall better pacing. Chloe S I wish I could give this movie a six out of five!!! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Laze T I enjoyed it more then the first one but not enough to give it a 4 stars but still good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Tom R I loved the cast and crew but number 2 was somehow missing the charm and the catch me if you can vibe that number 1 had. Still a great experience tho! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/09/24 Full Review Jay M Solid cast and plausible story line that was too long and somehow just didn’t draw one in. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
