Ben Kenigsberg Time Out This is the kind of muckraking we should see more often. Rated: 3/5 Jun 7, 2024 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Kenner’s doc does a wonderful job of opening consumers’ eyes to what they’re eating. For viewers, hopefully, the film’s effective post-screening loss of appetite develops into a life of better dietary choices. Pantera O "You can vote 3 times a day to change the system" Una investigación dentro del mundo de la comida, de sus procesos y sus consecuencias. Cruda. Reveladora. Impactante. ¿Hungry for change? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/26/23 Full Review Michael H Everyone should watch this documentary/movie from start to finish. After doing so, you can decide what you want to do next; seek more information on the variety of topics discussed, spend more money on better food, write your congressman, or start growing vegetables in your backyard. For me, the film became more interesting as it progressed, and in the end, I felt it was asking us to write the rest of the story. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review ashlyn b Food Inc. was an eye-opening movie that left me questioning if I still want to consume meat. The film starts off by stating that when we chose our meat and produce brands, we usually gravitate towards the brands with farmers and sunny imagery on our packaging due to its aesthetic marketing appeal without actually knowing what is in our food. This film left me contemplating a lot of my choices; not only because of the gruesome ways the industry treats animals, but also because of the awful environmental affects that meat production has on the earth. What we do every day conflicts with what we know we should do, like eating meat and purchasing from brands like Tyson Foods and Monsanto Co. because of their reasonable prices, rather than purchasing from local butchers. These companies treat chickens horribly and overfeed them to get more meat out of them. Furthermore, this film presented multiple clips to reinforce the idea of urgency within the industry; for instance, it showed sad imagery of how horrible cows, chickens and pigs are treated in order to process our meat. All in all, this film reminded me that it is up to us as consumers to change the way the food industry works. In order to do this, we should be purchasing food from farmers markets, buy from companies that treat animals with respect, and buy organic foods. Overall, this was a very compelling film that I believe everyone should watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Landon J I felt it was mostly about big corporate and its monopolies on in the food sector. A good eye opener with some anecdotes of the time. A few inaccuracies i felt since I grew up on a farm. But overall an educational program for any urbanites not acquainted with the world of agriculture. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/03/21 Full Review isaac m Food Inc is an amazing documentary that focuses on the food industry and farming. I know that food has changed since fast food and TV dinner appeared in our tables. I love the direction and the interviewers. Overall, Food Inc is a unique documentary to show to everyone.
