J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The long joke of the narrative is adroitly handled, and for once the climax pays off in laughs. Mar 9, 2020 Full Review Richard Brody New Yorker The movie is a hollow throwback to classic comedy, and it shines only by contrast with dull studio competition. Mar 5, 2018 Full Review Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard The spoofy action set-pieces are ho hum. What's special is the minutiae-based, casually political banter. Rated: 3/5 Mar 4, 2018 Full Review Tina Kakadelis Beyond the Cinerama Dome Harkening back to the mid-budget comedy movies that have sadly disappeared from the mainstream, Game Night is the sort of breezy movie that has great potential for universal appeal, if only people are able to find out about it. Jul 25, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies Plemons steals every scene he is in. I also can’t say enough about the comic timing of both Bateman and McAdams. Both work at just the right pitch and hold everything together even as things begin to unravel in the third act. Rated: 3/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Consistently funny and filled with dark screwball antics, Game Night is a rare, satisfying modern comedy. Rated: 3/4 Mar 14, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Keizi C John Francis Daley understands comedy perfectly! This cast is amazing and if "going out" was a movie this would be it. Hilarious, thrilling and dare I say, pretty dark? It's a blast from start to finish and keeps unfolding itself. It'll keep you on your toes while making you collapse from laughter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Harrison R Good generic movie, like a rom-com without the idealism. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review KB B This was such a compelling film with plenty of humor. Jason Bateman was exceptional as usual. It's a great weekend movie with plenty of laughs and surprises. It's definitely worth the watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review alan g A modern screwball comedy that actually lives up to its name. Somewhat predictable but fun nevertheless. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review Georgan G My new favorite comedy! Always a big fan of Jason Bateman, but the entire cast is extremely funny, too. There are non stop jokes & plot devices. Plan on seeing this one every year or so! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Jeff M The first half of this movie is so very strong and the group of characters assembled so charismatic that I thought this was destined to be a comedy classic. And while it eventually turned out to be a very fine film in which I laughed quite a bit, it goes downhill a bit toward the end as the situations become more and more incredulous. As a result I would rank it as a very good but not great movie. Jesse Plemons is easily the MVP here in an incredible supporting turn that is destined to become remembered for a long time to come. And stay till the end of the credits so you don't miss one of the movie's biggest laughs! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Read all reviews
