Heart and Souls

What to Know

Critics Consensus

A charismatic array of character actors bring a lot of Heart to this supernatural comedy, but many will find that it heaps on the sentimentality where its Soul should be.

Joel H It could be because I used to watch Heart and Souls a lot when I was younger, but I enjoy this movie a lot. A young Robert Downey Jr. showcases his comedic and dramatic acting chops in the lead role, while Charles Grodin, Alfre Woodard, Kyra Sedgwick, and Tom Sizemore all bring some of their best work to the table as his motley crew of guardian angels. Yes, this movie is a little cheesy and yes, the sentimentality holds up better than some of the humor, but Heart and Souls has such an innocent sweetness to it that you have to be completely heartless to not feel something while you're watching it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Krystle B Really cute and heartwarming story with likable characters. RDJ is fantastic, as usual, but the supporting cast is great, too. I truly enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Carlos I It's sappy and sentimental, but it's a good bit of fun. I wasn't sure about revisiting this one, as I feared it would not have aged well, but it still has the ability to charm. The premise is a tad played out, but it's handled in a nice way here. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review ATTRACTIONS FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES amazing and beautiful movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review John P Funny, heartwarming, very entertaining! Only complaint is the misguided notion that one soul turns into another soul. It is definitely worth your time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/23 Full Review B R This movie is a great reminder of how important family is and the power of helping others. A must see for the entire family! Bring tissue..
