While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. What to Know

Critics Consensus

Turbulent waters even for strong swimmers, Infinity Pool provides a visceral all-inclusive retreat of Cronenbergian perversion for those wanting to escape commercial sundries.

Audience Says

Infinity Pool is definitely a wild time, but when it's trying to be scary or provocative, it's often just confusing.

David Stratton The Australian It seems a shame that the film’s promising first half is swamped by its second half with its hallucinogenic descent into sex and violence... Rated: 3/5 May 18, 2023 Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) It’s a wacky but quite original premise, and Cronenberg has found some interesting actors to bring it to life, especially Mia Goth, showing that her recent turn as a bloodthirsty starlet in Ti West’s Pearl by no means exhausted her bag of tricks. Rated: 3/5 May 11, 2023 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) Brandon Cronenberg, son of David, continues to rehash his father’s themes and preoccupations with this wearisome grand guignol body horror about the primal power of, yep, sex, death and reproduction. Rated: 1/5 Mar 27, 2023 Full Review Robert Roten Laramie Movie Scope I had a lot of trouble watching this because I found it very disturbing. If you are a horror fan, you might like this. I am not, but I did find this movie well crafted and well acted. Rated: B Jan 16, 2024 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective All in all, this is still a lush, queasy, interesting film, despite not being an unequivocal triumph like the extraordinary Possessor. Jan 2, 2024 Full Review Carla Monfort Espinof The film has a barely passes because visually it is visually interesting, it is entertaining most of the time (but not all), and Alexander Skarsgard and Mia Goth save it with their performances. Johnathan R I had to watch this movie twice (the 2nd time stoned) before I realized the magic of it. It’s a philosophical film. Exploring what depths of evil that humans could stoop to if no consequences for their actions and if they had plenty of wealth. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Jonathan G Service during the movie was laughably bad for an Alamo production. Movie was cool.
