In the spring of 1970, Joe Cocker undertook what became the legendary 20th-century musical experiment--a traveling rock & roll commune that crisscrossed the country on a private jet. This meteoric tour came and went over a magical two months and as a one-time-only experience, it developed a mythical status amongst music fans throughout the world. Many attempts have been made to reunite the Mad Dogs, but it was never recreated in any way, shape or form... until now. Read More Read Less

Owen Gleiberman Variety The original "Mad Dogs" footage looks more amazing than ever. And the survivors of that tour who show up for the reunion concert are great company; anyone who thinks that aging rock boomers are simply cranks stuck in time should get a load of these folks. Oct 25, 2021 Full Review Glenn Kenny New York Times The drug-and-booze-fueled utopianism reflected in the archival footage is replaced in 2015 by what appears to be relatively clean living, mutual appreciation and joyous pragmatism. Gary B-G Absolutely terrific film blending the past with present. Music is fabulous abd the story is compelling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/21 Full Review Zac Transport This film beautifully captures TTB and absolutely draws inspiration from the original concert documentary style of Mad Dogs and Englishmen. The cinematography is excellent, the video editing is exceptional, and the Director has truly done a brilliant job encapsulating who Derek and Susan really are, the kind, sweet, wonderful, down-to-earth people that I know them to be. Now, everybody gets to see them in the way that I have been blessed to see them! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/24/21 Full Review STEPHEN K A first class rockumentary! Great footage, fantastic music soundtrack, memorable performances. It was great to see the old standbys mix it up with new blood from Tedeschi Trucks band.
