What to Know

Critics Consensus

Although it softens the nasty edges of its source material, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a gothic visual treat, and it features a hilariously manic turn from Jim Carrey as the evil Count Olaf.

Darragh W Even though it is still a good movie, it is still quite a bit disrespectful to the original book franchise (Lemony Snicket's). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review KB B It was very entertaining with some good humor and intense situations. It's worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Madie R I never read the books. Mainly watched it for Jim Carrey. It's delightfully dark and funny. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/24/23 Full Review Spike G Could have been better but it's ok Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/02/23 Full Review Benji W Great movie, and just the right amount of suspense and fear for children to not spook them too much.
