Marya E. Gates RogerEbert.com Cox deserves better. Prince deserves better. Orlean deserves better. Audiences deserve better. And, frankly, pigeons deserve better. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 13, 2024 Full Review Adrian Horton Guardian Learning about the jewel that is the racing pigeon with an incontrovertible sense of home is a treat, but there’s not much else to find here. Rated: 2/5 Mar 13, 2024 Full Review Nadine Whitney AWFJ.org Lumpen where it should be light and too concerned with telling the audience what is happening but not always backing up why. Brooklynn Prince will fly to heights, but LITTLE WING is a non-starter. May 4, 2024 Full Review Jayne Nelson Radio Times This might have been both a sweet coming-of-age tale and an interesting look at the world of pigeon-racing. On screen, however, Kaitlyn's never-ending, droning narration is soporific, and her sociopathic behavior makes her a deeply unlikeable character. Rated: 2/5 Mar 27, 2024 Full Review Chance Solem-Pfeifer Willamette Week Dean Israelite and writer John Gatins don’t thread their chosen needle between the theme-heavy character study and the YA crowd pleaser. Mar 21, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media This isn't always an easy movie to watch, but it's a poignant tale that is well-told and pays off. Landen B It's a fine coming of age movie but they made the main character look like a full on villain. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review DG M a very fine film well acted smart sensitive Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review leah G PERFECT example of a movie that shows true character growth. The protagonist was unique and refreshing. Someone who relied on aggression an independence as supposed to most protagonists who are so timid and anxious. She had a lot of flaws and growing to do… which to me is the entire point of making a movie. I love that it wasn't vulgar but relied on authenticity and raw emotion while still being able to share with any age. Of course there is suicidal themes but I like that they didn't shy away from them because nowadays that's what's on peoples minds. It was a movie filled with hope, friendship and learning how to not rely on bad instincts. Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Kim G I was pleasantly surprised with this movie! It was heart warming and the kid actors were so cute! I recognized the actress in the movie from The Florida Project and she's absolutely wonderful! I look forward to seeing her in her future films! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review Ann B Absolutely loved this movie. The young girl was amazing. The whole cast was perfect. Highly recommend.
