Nell Minow AWFJ.org The trippy visuals, provocative ideas, and gifted cast make this twisted fairy tale worth watching. Nov 30, 2021 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com There's no tension as to where things are going to end up, the final images leaving me cold. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 4, 2019 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Give it up for "Paradise Hills" for swinging for the fences when it comes to bat-bleep crazy. Rated: 3/4 Nov 2, 2019 Full Review Rachel Bellwoar Vague Visages The performances (and the cinematic world) are so inventive that while the plot doesn’t take the same risks, one can’t help but wonder how Waddington might reinvigorate other science fiction narratives with her fairy tale stylings. Mar 26, 2024 Full Review Britany Murphy The Reel Roundup Ultimately, it's these themes that Paradise Hills brings to the forefront that makes it worth watching. Feb 26, 2022 Full Review Cate Marquis AWFJ.org Waddington explores questions of social expectations, class and individual freedom, as she takes these characters on a darker, scarier journey than the pretty surroundings suggest, a tale with some surprising twists and a satisfying ending, Nov 30, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Alica K I think this was trying to be society critique, but very poorly executed. Predictable. It has beautiful visuals though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Corey C The cinematographers should be angry with the writer's. The movie was beautiful to look at, but the story was bad. All in all, it was a beautiful disaster. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/11/23 Full Review will It’s a typical rich people’s woke movie: rich people’s spoiled kids hate their lives, hate their parents and hate their high society. They don’t understand the common people’s lives and intend to destroy everyone’s life, of course using their strange ways. Now they have achieved their goal partially. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review X O I don't get it. Why do people think this film is good? Terrible story. Terrible execution. Useless film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/23 Full Review Richard L A visually gorgeously designed outing with a setting intriguing enough to carry the entire film. The last 20 minutes of the kind of predictable plot are so mind-numbingly stupid you'd think they were from another film entirely though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Sean B An intriguing theme, but ultimately the plot was a complete mess. Terrible pacing, romance scenes seemed hemmed in and out of place, and they led us along on the mystery for far too long without giving many reasons to care. I found the main reveal at least somewhat rewarding, but not enough to redeem the film. There were also far too many unanswered questions - but ultimately by the end of the film I just wanted it to end so I could do something else.
