Артем Б I absolutely cannot perceive this picture normally. It is poorly filmed, poorly acted and poorly presented in the film there is not a hint of the atmosphere of a fairy tale. Neverland is shown terribly, everything happens in some kind of semi-dark gray tones. Scarce fields, scarce scenery, inexpressive, mise-en-scene. And it all looks more like a cheap film with bad visuals and problematic graphics.Instead of telling the final moral of the original book, that sometimes you need to keep the child in you, the film wants to tell us that growing up is not so bad. There are so many interesting things ahead of us: loans, mortgages, exams, a lot of responsibility, family, children.Well, all this is reinforced by the terrible actor who plays Peter Pan. He absolutely cannot play the cheerful and optimistic Peter from the cartoon, only despondency and unnaturalness emanate from him. Actually, as I did with the whole film as a whole. Peter Pan is admittedly a tale that, even as a kid, I never really clicked with. The two Disney animated flicks are films I'd consider as good, but even then I didn't really vibe with them all that much. I think it's because I find the story quite one-dimensional, there's never anything that I can sink my teeth into. I do, though, like how this version mixes a few things up, particularly with Hook and Pan's backstory. As well as how Tinker Bell acts, I always found it a bit odd how she would be jealous of Wendy in the other pictures - her behaviour in this 2023 film does feel much more logical. So I do give credit to the filmmakers for these changes. Those weren't enough for me to enjoy this, however.
