What a great movie. Beautiful Robin Wright in a medieval adventure about kings, kingdoms, enchanted forests, sword fighting, vengeance, and a classical ending. You got to love the sequence of defeating each bandit: the fencing master - both switching to right hand - defeating the giant, and, finally, overcoming the treacherous Vizzini in the brainiacs’ game (what a great solution to put poison in both cups - he had build resistance to the poison for years). The vengeance of Iñigo’s father, and the ending of the pinnacle of every middle-age movie: a kiss between princess and saviour, are part of the engaging plot. Filled with humor, cleverness, riveting characters, The Princess Bride is a must watch - and rewatch. As you wish…

Overall, this movie is a book adaptation done right. There is only one huge difference between the two, and that has to do with the "Pit of Despair." Other than that, it is almost exactly the same. Very enjoyable film filled with action, adventure, fantasy, and romance.

I think this is one of the most delightful movies ever. It manages to combine everything that makes a good story good. Action, comedy, high stakes, great lines, kissing books. It has something for everyone while not compromising a great story that stands up to the test of time. A near perfect movie experience is virtual impossible to achieve but this one shines as an example of doing everything right.
