Emma Keates AV Club Angela and Ivan’s love story often feels almost too storybook to be plausible, but it’s next to impossible not to root for them as they support each other—often physically—through their many costumed security evasions and insane stunts. Rated: B- Jul 26, 2024 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Zimbalist (a sometime rooftopper) and his co-director Maria Bukhonina make it clear that the stunts are real but never get beyond a Photoshop version of the characters. Giovanni J Definitely more of a love-story than I thought as their journey doing DEATH-DEFYING skywalking really places one's trust in another. I actually got quesy when they are skywalking. This documentary is similar to the one where Frenchman Phillipe Petit tight-rope walked across The Twin Towers in NYC in the early 70s just as the buildings were being finished being built. Similar obstacles. Also a movie was made out of that called...The Walk back in 2015 (wow almost 10yrs ago). This movie I saw at the Netflix theater in NYC (The Paris Theater) next to Central Park, but it is NOT an IMAX theater thus disappointed in that. The real IMAX theater near Lincoln Center was already showing other movies. Thus deduct half a star. Excellent movie, especially a DATE movie with your significant other. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Vivek H Amazing move keeps you on edge until the end, loved how the film/documentary was shot kept us entertained till the very end and to see how much work goes into climbs is unreal and requires so much bravery well done and amazing workkk can’t recommend this film enough outstanding work 🩷🩷 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Cheyanne H Fantastic, thrilling, nail biting...nothing like it!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Gabriel S Forget the galaxy far, far away-Skywalkers: A Love Story brings you the real-life saga of Ivan and Angela, two extraordinary souls who push the limits of human endurance and courage. This documentary feels like stepping into a live-action version of Mirror's Edge, but here, the stakes are real, and so is the danger. Ivan and Angela aren't just rooftoppers-they're modern-day adventurers, living on the edge with unmatched skill and passion. Their story isn't just cool-it's a breathtaking testament to living and loving without fear. From the first moment, my partner and I were captivated by their journey. It's not just something you watch-it's something you experience, and it stays with you long after the credits roll. Thank you to the team behind this incredible film for capturing such an inspiring and exhilarating story. #LiveLifeOnTheEdge #ChaseYourDreams #StayInspired. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Beth G This is a MUST WATCH! This true story captivated me from the first minute. Absolutely terrifying and magical all at once. And a Love Story on top of it all. I’m pretty sure that every single human being on Earth was rooting for you both… for your absolute insane climbs.. completely insane!! And for your relationship. Neither one of you could never find another like you have. Maybe someone else…. But not like that. BRAVO!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Paola T A beautiful story! I have so much respect for these 2 guys because, despite the difficulties, they didn't give up and made their dream come true! I recommend you to see it!!!
