The world's favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. As long as the Sonic sequels rely on its origins, weaving in aspects of the game into its narrative and keeping pace with the speedy hedgehog, it will appeal to its fan base – young kids and more mature Sega enthusiasts.

Ignoring the terrible wedding scenes the film has some fun set pieces, good CG and good performances all round, with Jim Carrey once again stealing the show. Throw in some fun game references for me to point at and I really enjoyed my time with the film.
