James Mudge easternKicks.com Svaha: The Sixth Finger is a thoughtful religious-themed horror. While a little slow for viewers expecting shocks, it's an accomplished and disconcerting film. Rated: 4/5 Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Something of a fascinating muddle. Rated: 2/4 Jul 1, 2019 Full Review William Schwartz HanCinema I was hoping for a story to connect all this crazy stuff together, and I never got one. Jun 21, 2019 Full Review Min-sik Yoon Korea Herald While it is not a bad film, I did not think the payoff was satisfying at the end of such a heart-pumping journey. homemilk This movie showed a new aspect in the Korean mystery genre. It is regrettable that the story that leads the play lost its power at the end. It was good to lead the tension even though there were few jumps care scenes. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review Audience Member The best Korean movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Koh J Movie is a bit confusing and there's some meandering + some loose ends that don't quite get wrapped up. But overall well-paced and boasts an intriguing story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/21 Full Review Audience Member So good, so much thrill things in it and it can make you scare after watching it, everything about religion is so scary lol. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I went into this movie with 0 expectations; I left with the first horror movie that I've ever enjoyed in my entire life. Svaha is a cryptic tale of one family's dark secret that ultimately concludes by, quite literally, turning everything upside-down, and thus revealing that wherever there is light, there must be shadow. The ending, while climactic, was nowhere near as fun as the journey. Save for some elements of the film, including one rather trope-y scare scene near the beginning, this movie reinvents the stale elements of horror in a refreshingly morbid way. You wont find an excess of originality; rather a polished up vision of all the classic frights done exceptionally right. This film is a spiritual mix of horrors such as The Grudge and thrillers such as The Mothman Prophecies - a love-child of heart-pumping suspense and an inexplicable sense of morbid mystery that ventures deep into ancient secrets and ambiguous, esoteric goals. The end result is the utter humbling of the human soul, as it dawns on you that some answers simply cannot be attained, even if you have all the time in the world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best narratives I've seen in a while. It starts with three good stories and then it goes to the connection, and oh boy, you definetly won't be disappointed. A must watch movie for sure!
