Cage is unhinged and off his trolley (we wouldn’t want it any other way) but keeps eerily calm, or at least eerily repressed, for a lot of it, concealing his psychotic insides and biding his time.

Definitely one of Nicolas Cage best performance. Love how unhinged and chaotic he's in this movie. The ending really does make you feel sympathy for the devil. Best villain but not really the villain role ever. 10/10 and a 5 star. Just sad people don't understand this movie as much as I did it doesn't deserve anything lower than a 6/10 or lower than a 3 star

Far fetched plot and over the top acting by Nicholas Cage. But if you're a fan you'll probably like this movie. Joel Kinnaman gave a more subtle and realistic performance. Maybe the director was pushing Nic, in which case, that's on him.
