Audience Member Not even the great Peter O'Toole can pull this film up by the bootstraps and save it from its dull to painfully bad story line. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Frances H One has to be a fan of over-the-top, quirky Brit dark comedy, or rather satire, to really like this film, but anyone can appreciate Peter O'Toole's performance. What at first seems just a rant against the inanity of TV game shows and their "celebrity" hosts becomes something more sinister as the movie's plot starts a number of twists. This film does for British TV what Network did for American television. While not everyone's cup of tea, I liked it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/06/13 Full Review Audience Member Boring and not funny. Didn't finish. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Obscure Peter O 'Toole film that have its moments, but some sequences were stupid and pointless. The twists and turns were good, and the tragic final image was great. Melodrama and black comedy rolled into one, but not perfectly done...
