Though lightweight and silly, The Brady Bunch Movie still charms as homage to the 70s sitcom.

Audience Member at long last the everloving Brady Bunch family make their big-screen debut the movie successfully follows the spirit of the TV show right down to the same production values it's funny, cute, far out and plays just like you'd imagine it the plot is very much a TV sitcom story arc and there are other subplots mixed into the whole thing the best part is knowing that the family itself is still stuck in the past refusing to adapt to modern times but still maintain their happyness however they can each of the kids slowly come into their own and discover more about themselves you also really do feel for Jan this time around as she takes a step forward to get more reognition because of Marsha's over-appreciation there's even a very cool short cameo by the original actress who played Alice some fourth wall breaking even ensues from time to time in short, the long-time fans will be very satisfied Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review Rich S It's a silly walk down Memory Lane for those who weren't yet adolescents in the early 1970s. It's a "Best of" several different episodes as if they were ingredients in one of Alice's messy meatloaf dinners. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Demetri P A fun amalgam with fun, corny, and cheery charm that overall is what saves the movie even while the rest is pretty weak. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Tee K 3 stars for Christine Taylor being an absolute fox and this movie has its place. I don't think I've ever understood the concept of a 70s family living in the 90s but i can suspend disbelief with the best of them. And the Davey Jones song at the end was fun. That Giovanni Ribisi's sister Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/27/23 Full Review S D Really clever parody of the series. Marcia and Jan are especially funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/23 Full Review Audience Member "Put on your Sundays best kids, we're going to Sears!" We laughed at this one quite a bit in my family growing up, which is interesting looking back as I was way too young to have ever seen The Brady Bunch...or appreciate all the sexual innuendos this movie is loaded with. The Jan storyline is also much funnier, in a darker sort of way, now that I am older but I think even children can appreciate the "fish out of water" story that this ultimately is. Leaving the 70s Bradys virtually untouched, while transporting them to the 90s was a wise move and gave this movie a much broader appeal. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
