J. Hoberman ARTINFO.com The Dark Knight Rises not only celebrates a caped Übermensch but is itself, as a commercial enterprise, something beyond good and evil. Feb 25, 2019 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online The Dark Knight Rises is the taut and satisfying finale to a beastly franchise that not only proposed new interpretations of a beloved tale, but it also re-engineered what we imagine a superhero movie to be. Rated: B+ Sep 8, 2017 Full Review Jason Bailey Flavorwire Nolan somehow never loses control - this is an accomplished and tremendously confident filmmaker, both in the execution of his thrilling chases and action beats, and in his manipulation of the complicated, multi-faceted narrative. Jun 21, 2016 Full Review Tania Hussain The Hudsucker [Nolan's] films are a pure and genuine model for what story and setting should be as well as, creating a human touch to the whole aspect of these legends we’ve read in comic books. Jul 28, 2024 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson Every character is beyond three-dimensional and fleshed out with dynamic emotions, origins, strengths, flaws, victories, losses, goals, and fates. Rated: 5/5 Apr 7, 2024 Full Review Juan Pablo Russo EscribiendoCine Just when it seemed Batman would never be able to shake off his invincible karma, Nolan managed to reinvent his character, place him in the present day, and turn him into a vigilante. Tony This movie is a masterpiece, it shows how a broken man can rise up and still do whats right. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/24 Full Review Virginia B The movie I saw was The Dark Knight. There was some mixup between Fandango and Regal theaters. So my five stars is for The Dark Knight, which is what I saw. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Jonny W. AMAZING and underrated film!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/23 Full Review Mate P The Dark Knight Rises is both a perfect and an imperfect conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The story is good and interesting and even though the villain is new, his motivations are the same as Ducard's. The protagonists' journeys are satisying. I love Bruce, Jim, but this movie made Alfred my favourite character in the whole trilogy. Bruce's arc is perfect, which makes me satisfied, but I'm also unsatisfied, because I want people to know who Batman was, even though I know it made perfect sense this way. The cinematography and editing are still amazing, while the casting is even more unbelievable. The acting was overall amazing and my favourite performance was definitely Michael Cane's. On the other hand I wasn't happy with the sound design regarding Bane. It completely took me out in the beginning as it did afterwards, just not that much. All in all, I love The Dark Knight Rises for its amazing cast, satisfying writing and the really good acting performances. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/01/24 Full Review Mark P It was alright but had some unnecessary plot. The weakest of the trilogy but still not a bad movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Maury S Masterpiece, the best batman movie ever done Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
