Critics Consensus

Typically stylish but deceptively thoughtful, The Grand Budapest Hotel finds Wes Anderson once again using ornate visual environments to explore deeply emotional ideas.

Jonah K in this imitative world of ours, it is kind of unbelievable that wes anderson has such singular ownership of this particular style. seems like no one wants their movie compared to his because that automatically makes it a lesser film or something. or does he literally possess some sort of ancient creative magic that nobody else does? i don’t know. kind of weird to think about. mostly impressive though. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/24/24 Full Review NEON 1 Wes Anderson never failed to direct such a unique movie. The cinematography is so beautiful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Audience Member El Gran Hotel Budapest: Una festival de colores cinematográficos.
