Audience Member It's available on YouTube and everyone should watch it. Especially the first portion of the movie before it delves deep into the Western culture shock, the footage is astounding and beautiful with virtually no budget. The most perfect cinematic portrait of the Philippines I've ever seen. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member As odd a film as you're ever likely to find. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This Pinoy film isn't nightmarish at all, but an exhilarating and sharply comical bit of social commentary packaged as a one-of-a-kind fictional essay and travelogue. It's genuinely original and plays by its own rules - another under-appreciated gem from the Philippines. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member i loved this as a kid and i still love it to this day Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member So this is third cinema.. can't claim to understand it all.. but definitely interesting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Part bio, part documentary, part mockumentary, but mostly a really charming, funny, off-beat social commentary on American life as viewed by an outsider. Tahimik casts himself in the main role as a resident of a village in the phillipines who is enthralled by the USA and in particular, the Nasa Space program. He makes the trek to this wonderous land. Will he love it or become disillusioned? whether you guess or not, and chances are you'll correctly, the journey / story is superb. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
