What to Know

Critics Consensus

Utterly forgettable and completely unnecessary, Under Siege 2 represents a steep comedown from its predecessor -- and an unfortunate return to form for its star.

Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune A most entertaining sequel to a terrific action picture. Rated: 3/4 Aug 16, 2017 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times It isn't as good as the original Under Siege, but it moves quickly, has great stunts and special effects, and is a lot of fun. Rated: 3/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle Rated: 0/5 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins There's still entertainment to be had as Seagal goes through his usual counterterrorism routines, but here he uses guns more than his famous hand-to-hand combat techniques. Rated: 5/10 Sep 24, 2020 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews A fairly disappointing follow-up... Rated: 2/4 Apr 5, 2020 Full Review Jeffrey M. Liam D An Mediocre sequel to an pretty good action movie that fits right into Steven Seagal (My Giant) usual style and flat direction by Geoff Murphy (The Quiet Earth, Utu) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/12/24 Full Review sean G Perfect movie, nice story , great special effects for the year it was made, very good 2nd movie, shame there was not a 3rd one .10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Kay B I enjoyed this movie. Some fun entertainment. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review William D It was an okay film that could have been a whole lot better. It is worth watching once. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Jack t Okay so after I review the smash hit Under Siege the first film I have to review the second film which you both think it's not as good as the first, this is one of my favourites. It came out in 1995 where I was born and in some ways, yeah that's the way it is and in other ways it came out the same year as Pocahontas but in other ways the fight scenes are really great, in other ways it's fantastic, in other ways this is the best sequels ever made if not the best, oh boy, I'm just a sucker. The end fight scene is awesome and the train crash is absolutely fxxking awesome. Eric Bogosian is pretty good in it and Morris Chestnut is hilarious in it as well. This is the one that I can think whilst looking at my collection! Holy sxxt! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Jelisije J A very lazy sequel that basically copies and pastes the entire story of the first movie and put Steven Seagal on a train instead of a submarine. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
