Tom Charity CNN.com Funny and poignant and full of life, Up easily qualifies as one of the best movies of the year so far. Go with someone you care about. Jul 6, 2010 Full Review Cosmo Landesman Times (UK) A hugely enjoyable work, whose care, craftsmanship and creative courage are rarely found in mainstream films - animated or otherwise. Rated: 4/5 Oct 16, 2009 Full Review Ian Freer Empire Magazine If it had lived up to its golden first five minutes, Up would have been the film of the decade. As it is, it remains the best animated flick of 2009, a funny, moving, beautifully made argument that dreamers can move mountains. Rated: 4/5 Oct 9, 2009 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) Pete Docter is one of the best directors in animation history for a reason, as his second film is a definitive work in the medium. Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand ... a film of whimsy and wonder, mixing Jules Verne imagination with the bubble-gum colors of a children’s picture book and Pixar’s trademark bouncy humor, all stirred with memories of childhood dreams. Nov 18, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Pixar’s clarity of purpose astounds. Flawlessly evocative, the film’s joys are so very joyful and the saddening moments ever so tender. Dale R An elderly gentleman finally gets to go on an adventure to Paradise Falls. As many people have already said, the first 11:30 of this movie is fantastic! Once again Pixar displays their ability to tell a great story without using a word. Post that eleven and a half minute mark the film doesn’t live up to that opening, it isn’t bad, just not as great. The voice acting is well done, but no real standouts. The animation from Pixar is again terrific. This film succeeds in invoking a sense of awe, adventure, comedy and in the end will warm your heart. Highly recommended movie, go check it out! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Jack N A Disney-Pixar classic from their age of dominance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/24 Full Review Pablo M Amazing story, amazing voice acting, amazing characters, amazing graphics and visual effects. A gem! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review Caleb K Another example of Pixar knowing how to wrench your soul out in a way you are not ready for. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review vaughan t Absolute gem of a film. Watch it in 3D if you ever get the chance, makes a superb film even better. Makes you cry, then makes you laugh. One of my absolute favourites of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/16/24 Full Review Franco E Beautiful movie, timeless classic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
