Looking to escape from his dying world, the orc shaman Gul'dan utilizes dark magic to open a portal to the human realm of Azeroth. Supported by the fierce fighter Blackhand, Gul'dan organizes the orc clans into a conquering army called the Horde. Uniting to protect Azeroth from these hulking invaders are King Llane, the mighty warrior Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel) and the powerful wizard Medivh. As the two races collide, leaders from each side start to question if war is the only answer.

Lots of potential with all aspects needed for a great fantasy adventure. But there’s a lack of care that makes it a muddy mess. Almost entirely CGI yet it looks terrible. A nice tone with beautiful set design but that can’t save it.

I felt that the Warcraft movie was a hidden gem that didn't deserve the "critics" critical ratings. I am not a gamer in any way, so did not know the storyline initially, but as the movie went on, I understood more. I was never lost in the dark about any of the scenes or the plot. The CGI was really good for it's time. Tonight, I watched it on a 4k ultra screen and felt that it wasn't choppy or pixilated like some movies can be, not was it overly loud like the newer movies are. The evil was balanced out with the compassion and heart shown by many of the characters. I really do hope that they will bring out a followup movie to good one, as there were top many cliffhangers to just leave in limbo.
