Wendy Ide Times (UK) Despite a hip Miami backdrop, and the quarrel between the Montagues and Capulets being played out like a gang feud, the director retained the play’s original text. Emily B Romeo and Juliet is my favorite story ever. I actually liked this. I know it is different than the original story, but Leonardo Dicaprio does a very good job in this. Overall 7.5/10. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review Tomato S 90s vibe while keeping traditional elements, very cool better than the older adaptation👏 and yes english teacher made us watch it 🫠 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Brooks M This is the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/01/24 Full Review Audience Member I personally really like this, but what was weird about this version was the fact that they used old English but the film was set in the 20th century in Miami, and if you take that one scene into account where Juliet starts crying after Romeo basically commits suicide, that basically some up some of the acting. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/24 Full Review Aidan B An absolute fever dream of a film: oftentimes fairly stupid but still an enjoyable watch nonetheless. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review isabella b I watched this for English class and it is absolute horrible. It feels like I'm watching a fever dream. The editing is horrible and the sped up parts as well. If your going to make a movie modern make the language modern as well Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews
