Britain is a mixture of despair and hedonism in 1919 in the aftermath of the Great War. Returning soldiers, newly minted revolutions and criminal gangs are fighting for survival in a nation rocked by economic upheaval. One of the most powerful gangs of the time is the Peaky Blinders, run by returning war hero Thomas Shelby and his family. But Thomas has bigger ambitions than just running the streets. Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald Peaky Blinders returns in fairly bonkers style for its handsome, cinematic fever dream of a final season. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 16, 2022 Full Review Nick Schager The Daily Beast Peaky Blinders goes out in predictably thrilling fashion. Jun 11, 2022 Full Review Deborah Ross Daily Mail (UK) It’s all here. The violence, yes, but also the flat caps, the undercut hairdos that have become inexplicably popular, the Birmingham burr, the contemporary music, the slo-mo, the gloomy oppressiveness. Rated: 4/5 Mar 7, 2022 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Even six seasons in, this is still one of the most gritty, gripping and genuinely addictive shows to come out of the UK this century. Mar 2, 2023 Full Review Addie Christianson Tell-Tale TV The series, Peaky Blinders shines because it’s complex, thoughtful to watch, and forces us to think about morals and the greyness between right and wrong. It’s hard to mindlessly watch the show, which is what makes it compelling. It’ll be missed. Rated: 3/5 Jun 15, 2022 Full Review Manuel Jabois El Pais (Spain) Thomas Shelby knows that with each day he's more alive, more human, and as a result, closer to death. Audience Member A phenomenal final series. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Stevie J I wish the final season had a little bit more originality and a better ending. I have to give it five stars for the series as a whole . I recommend this show a lot. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/26/24 Full Review Jean L I'm sorry, but season six was just lazy writing, recycling old tropes they'd already used and giving tommy more torture through losing loved ones though this time it wasn't any that we the audience were interested in or particularly care about. And I'm sorry, but tommy Shelby is too smart to (spoiler alert) find out that he's been dupes by a ghost. Literal deus ex machina right there to end it all. . He's a shell of himself this season, jumping from one contrived plot point to another and the show is a shell of itself. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Avant S This show went from must-see tv to must-end show. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review kodak j This show is sooo great--we just finished watching all 6 seasons AGAIN!! Enjoy ! thank you Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Miguel Amazing series. 6th season being my least favourite. Found it droll and boring but the amazing sets and acting kept it alive and still great. Looking forward to the movie to see how it wraps up.
