Tom S [CONTAINS SPOILERS] If you watch anything French, you just have to accept that the plotting might be utterly absurd. And this is certainly no exception, but I have to admit I enjoyed the whole bonkers story from beginning to end, even though they never explain how it is a certain character was actually not killed when we actually saw him killed. I enjoyed this series and was entertained. There isn't any English audio (which sometimes can be horrible) but the English subtitles gave an accurate account of the French language. The pacing is slow at first but necessary to become familiar with each of the characters. There's a few hints thrown in as to who is who if you pay attention. The non linear narrative can be confusing but pay attention to the names, some of the makeup to age the characters confused me as some characters looked the same and some looked too different to know they were supposed to be the same person. Overall, I give the story a solid 7.5 out of ten. I do like the slow burn and seriousness of the series, the score was slightly cheesy but didn't affect the enjoyment. Nicely done. Bonne Soir! The slow burn storytelling and well-balanced ensemble cast made for an easy Sunday afternoon of bingewatching! Absolutely engrossing!
