Baker and artist Christine McConnell creates sweet treats and other crafts in this series, but her creations may not be appropriate for children. In each episode, she welcomes viewers into her home as she -- with the help of her colorful collection of creatures -- bakes, sculpts and sews delectable confections and decor. McConnell's creations all have Halloween or horror themes. Given that, McConnell describes her show as "a weird mish-mash of `The Addams Family' and a Martha Stewart how-to show." Read More Read Less

Marc Silver Washington Post Resembling Snow White with her raven hair and pale skin, McConnell issues instructions like Martha Stweart -- clipped and authoritarian -- never cracking a smile at the absurdity of it all. Mar 24, 2020 Full Review Helen Rosner New Yorker Beautiful, morbid, bizarre, and raunchy. Oct 24, 2018 Full Review Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald [A] delightfully bonkers cooking-and-crafts series. Oct 24, 2018 Full Review Dev Shea 1428 Elm This show is gorgeous in its design (I WILL have her cabinets one day), sweet in more ways than one, hilarious and filled to the brim with snarky dialogue and sarcasm and is just creepy enough to keep my spooky heart in love. Sep 16, 2022 Full Review Fausto Ponce Alta Fidelidad Magazine It's astonishing to see Christine's creativity, charm and dedication in all her creations. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The best cooking show you'll ever see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review karen r I couldn't get past the first minute. The animatronic animals look like they were dug out of the trash from 1982. so poorly done and ridiculous. maybe that's part of the charm but i got dumb chills. Her acting was horrible as well. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A fantastic show of dark humour and delightful dialogue. The reason I like this show so much is not because of Christine's creations, but because of the puppets and the plots of each episode. Rose and Rankle, two of the best television characters of 2018. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Bats**t, but not in a good way. This show is waayy overtly silly, inane, pointless. It comes off as if it's made for kids or something, but it really isn't. What demographic is this for. shut-ins, methadone patients and crazy cat ladies?
