Large swathes of Santa Fe, including much of downtown and the south and east sides of town, lost power Wednesday evening.
Almost 26,000 customers in Santa Fe were out of power as of about 9:15 p.m., said Public Service Company of New Mexico spokesman Kai Porter. He said the outages were caused by lightning Wednesday evening.
"Crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to all customers," Porter said.
Power had been restored to almost everyone by Thursday morning.
PNM said customers currently experiencing an outage can report it by texting #OUT to 78766.
