The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills garners acclaim for its generously sized and comfortable rooms, which boast impressive views, although a few guests suggest that some areas could benefit from renovation. Its prime location is celebrated for being close to local attractions and dining options, yet occasional noise is mentioned. Visitors laud the rooftop pool and the quality breakfast, contributing to the hotel's luxurious atmosphere. While the staff's service generally receives high marks for its professionalism, instances of inconsistency have been noted. Overall, many patrons feel the hotel provides good value, though opinions on cost versus experience sometimes differ.

While visiting our daughter in LA, we spent four nights at London West. Wonderful location with superb views from our balcony. Top end toiletries, high thread count sheets, HUGE room with dressing table outside the bathroom, and a delicious breakfast included with a variety of choices. Will certainly return!

We have to say this was a wonderful stay for me and my wife. We both liked different aspects of it, and the team there was outstanding and communicated well. Additionally freebie you may not see presented, is that you can use Chrome Cast to watch any subscriptions apps you have on your phone like Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, etc. We often know what we want to watch or have things we're already started at home. This made the experience well rounded for us. My wife says the pool was her favorite part, and I have to agree. They were very clean, sanitized often, and provided us with complimentary hand wipes and sanitizer throughout our stay. Only thing not so great, was the food selection. Great food, small selection, although there seems to be secret menu items. I would suggest you ask more questions if food on the menu aren't exactly what you want!

I recently stayed at the London Hotel and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I have an autoimmune disease that can cause me to fall severely ill and unable to walk so I spent my entire vacation in the hotel room. Fortunately, I can't think of a better place to have had this unfortunate event occur. Without hesitation, the concierge went to the pharmacy twice to get my medicines and kindly left them outside the door. The room was very clean and spacious. It had a massive California King size bed that was very comfortable. The bathroom had a beautiful marble bathtub that was deep and allowed me to be fully immersed in a soothing hot tub. There is a separate shower for those who prefer to shower and not bathe. The room service was delivered in a timely manner and left outside my door. I kept having to extend my stay and the concierge made the experience painless and I never had to go back downstairs to extend another night. All around the service was impeccable and the room was amazing. Thank you so much for taking care of me!

We’ve stayed here twice in the last two months and it’s been 5 star service at every turn from checking in to checking out. The food is amazing in the restaurant and in room dining is the same high quality. The front desk is totally on top of everything and we liked the fitness center and pool too, which were both first class. Great location and their professionalism is evident in how they’re handling cleaning protocols and making safety a priority. Valet was top notch too. We’ll definitely be back!

I certainly was apprehensive about traveling because of COVID 19 but it was necessary to make this trip to Los Angeles. I can honestly say that all my fears were relieved when I arrived at The London. All the staff were wearing masks and gentle, non-threatening face shields so I felt protected throughout my stay. From the porters who warmly greeted me and helped me with my bags, to the agents at the front desk who also warmly greeted me and helped me understand what the hotel was doing to assure my safety and comfort. The room was beautiful, spacious and luxurious, the beds extremely comfortable, two showers and a bathtub, impeccably clean and tastefully designed, the balcony with a great view. The pool area was spacious with plenty of room to socially distance with the many deck chairs. The breakfast included with the room was delicious, including frittata, fresh fruit, zucchini bread, bagel with cream cheese, served outdoor with plenty of space between the tables so we could relax, the waiters and matrade were warm and attentive. Honestly I didn't want to leave when my stay was up after 3 days. The London made my time in LA so pleasant, I forgot my fears of traveling during the pandemic. They took such good care of us. Many nice hotels out there. The London was very special. I will definitely stay there again.

Location is excellent for that Sunset Strip experience, and the rooftop pool area is fun with fantastic views. Breakfast ( included ) was a treat with plenty of fresh bakery and brunch style items. Beware valet parking ( expensive ) is almost mandatory as parking spaces in this area are almost non existent.
A nice touch is a car and driver available to drop guests at locations around the West Hollywood area.

I have stayed at several Hollywood area and Los Angeles proper hotels over the years and this was by far the best experience thus far. The property is certainly on the smaller side but it makes up for that in accommodations and service.

The rooms are about double the size of the average hotel and the balconies offer beautiful views of the landscape. One of my favorite aspects of the room was the double shower. The shower easily fits two people and has two types of shower heads, one on each side of the shower.

The one bar/restaurant had a decent offering but none of the food was particularly standout. The bartender was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had access to the types of drinks they wanted including going to backstop to find bottles.

Lastly I will add that the valet team was phenomenal. Over the last year I have had many dismal valet experiences at hotels and parking garages. Lately it seems the blame is put on staffing shortages. The London had a full team of valet staff that were happy and quick to have the car ready.

My wife and I had stayed previously at The London West Hollywood, so when we found ourselves needing to travel back to Los Angeles in the time of COVID, it was our first choice of hotel. And surprisingly enough, this visit not only met our expectations from our previous visit, but it actually exceeded them greatly despite the new challenges the hotel is facing. The hotel was clean and care was taken to diminish contact at every step. And while the pool is still open for business, I appreciated the individually wrapped towels for people who wanted to get in some socially-distanced lounging outside on the rooftop. From beginning to end the customer service was top notch, something that everyone at the hotel clearly takes pride in. Jeff, the General Manager was very attentive and welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure his guests had a wonderful stay. Additionally, Kansas, Thomas, and Milanca (sp?) were three people who stood out to us during our stay and all helped give us a memorable experience.

I look forward to our future stays at the hotel and would highly recommend that anyone staying in the area give The London West Hollywood a shot at winning them over.

Andrew E wrote a review Sep 2020
I went to this hotel in order to get away from all the craziness happening right now. I assumed that things would be safe based on what I was told when I booked the room. They told me that the hotel and pool was running at half capacity and that no one could be at the pool who wasn't staying in the hotel. When I got to the hotel pool I noticed that it was a social distancing nightmare. The chairs were very close together and it was the most crowded I've ever seen the London pool. Normally when I've been it has been very chill and relaxed. It was like a very party atmosphere and very loud. I heard guests talking about inviting their friends to the pool. I personally don't care what people do amongst themselves, but I felt cheated and lied to in how the hotel portrayed themselves. When I tried to talk to the hotel staff about it I was gaslighted and told that they were doing everything they could and told me that it was hard to control people, which I think is actually their responsibility in this situation. It also seems like the pool menu has been cheapened a bit and I generally got the sense that the hotel was less nice than it used to be. Also, the check-in experience was pretty crazy as there was a woman in a robe screaming at a staff member that they were racist. It took forever to check in because there was a line of people paying in cash and having conversations about I'm not sure what with the front desk staff. It's always confusing as to why things can take so long at check-in for some people, and the staff seemed unconcerned about the craziness in the lobby. Another thing is that they had changed my room and downgraded me without asking me that eventually that was sorted out through an upgrade, but only after I called to inquire about this situation. I really hate to have to write this review because this was my favorite hotel to stay at in LA. I just can't believe how they were running the place during covid and was very confused about the party atmosphere. Maybe there's an explanation for all of this, I'm not sure. I'm sure it's difficult right now with Covid to try to run a hotel, I acknowledge that. But don't lie to and Gaslight your guests for feeling concerned about a deadly pandemic.

Andrew, We regret that your recent stay at The London was anything less than restful and enjoyable and that your experience over the weekend left such a negative impression. We invite you to contact us directly so that we can provide an upgrade on your next stay. We would like to take this opportunity to detail our COVID-19 safety protocols for the benefit of the Tripadvisor community. Each of these protocols and safeguards were in place during your recent stay. Access to the pool deck is strictly limited to hotel guests ONLY. Access can only be gained with a valid room key. We do not allow friends of guests to access our pool, unless they are also staying in the hotel. We have removed over 50% of our deck chairs and lounges at the pool. A clicker counter is used at pool reception to count the number of people and ensure we do not exceed the percentage designated by the Los Angeles County Health Dept. Signage noting that masks are required when entering and leaving the area is prominently posted throughout. The West End Rooftop area adjacent to our pool deck is open for sunbathing to allow for more spacing. Pool chairs and lounges are separated by hotel staff throughout the day to enforce distancing. Guests will sometimes pull chairs together in groups with their own party, which can create the impression that chairs are not spaced appropriately and we do our best to discourage this. Lastly, the weekend of your stay (Labor Day) was a record heat day with temperatures over 100 degrees. Even though the hotel was only 60% occupied (we capped our occupancy), we can assume that every available seat by the pool was taken due to the extraordinary heat during the day. Once again, we sincerely regret that your stay was such a disappointment. The safety of guests and staff is our primary concern and we greatly appreciate your feedback.

Hi. They do have services for laundry and pressing. However, as with all "hotel services" it is a bit more then if you were to use a local service. The hotel is fantastic. Enjoy your stay.
