Hotel's Favorite
Loved the historic charm and options for eating/drinking onsite. The staff was very helpful. The room was in the newer wing, perfectly fine for two of us. Also is very close to Pearl Street and loved to being able to walk a few blocks to many great shops and restaurants. Great place to stay for our first time in Boulder and will definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed two nights in this hotel on our way to Rocky mountain National park but I wished I pick Estes Park or another hotel instead. Dont get me wrong, the hotel is like a museum with full of history inside like the original Otis elevator and 3 restaurants, room is clean and sanitizers are in hallway free to use as well as walking distance to Pearl Mall. But for the price, I expected at least the small gym to be open to use but it was not because of covid. Breakfast and parking for a fee. Good thing you get 2 free bottle water daily and housekeeping will clean your room daily if you want. Pearl mall is not as impressive as others say, shops closes early. Overall, I would choose another hotel with free parking, free breakfast, gym open and pool.

Our stay at Hotel Boulderado was absolutely amazing. Our suite was absolutely beautiful with a sitting room, dining room, and huge balcony! Everything in the room was spotlessly cleaned and all employees and customers must wear masks inside the common areas which made us feel very safe. The employees went above and beyond, especially the valets. Beautiful rooms and lobby, and extremely close to Pearl Street! Will definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel. So much history, loved all the artifacts. Very clean. We got upgraded to a room that had a sitting room. Definitely one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, when you stay in historic hotels, sometimes they have a run-down quality but this place was just perfect. It felt so warm and comfortable. We stayed in the historic section. Plenty of good water pressure and hot water. I liked that the room was cooled by a thermostat, so it maintained a nice temperature. Our room also had a refrigerator. I liked that the furniture was real furniture instead of the generic hotel stuff you're used to. Even the view was nice. Found the spruce restaurant to be average food wise and a little expensive but nice service and friendly staff and they followed covid restrictions. Liked the bedding and found the bed was pretty comfortable but the pillows were flat and lumpy ( like most hotel pillows). The hotel was relatively quiet which was nice as well, just heard some walking around above us. Perfect location and check out the amazing apothecary that's located next to/ behind the hotel. We also went down to the basement, just to check out the bar down there, It's very cool, like an old speakeasy, never seen anything quite like it. Would highly recommend.

If those two things matter the most to you, book away and you'll be happy. This hotel has the best location in Boulder an does have consderable historical charm in the exterior and some of the public spaces. However the charm ends once you leave the impressive lobby. The hallways are dark and dreary and the rooms are just old. To me, it felt like 70s or 80s old (dated) not classic and classy. While clean and functional, there is nothing "luxurious" or even charming about the room. Greenish old fashioned carpets, heavy old fashioned furniture, uncomfortable stiff boxsprings bed and basic bathroom with nice marble counter but awful prefab bathtub inserts a la "bathfitter". Had to switch rooms because first one had extremely lound AC system. Second one was quiter, just had extremely loud bathroom fan. Room was otherwise clean and functional, just nothing like you might expect from the lobby. Maybe the historical rooms are cooler than the North Wing rooms, but pictures did't suggest that. Keys stopped working and had to be redone and it's a long, winding trek to the front lobby. Parking lot across the street didn't work half the time I tried to use it. Overall I give it four stars because of the outstanding location and the fact that they were running some very good specials due to reopening after COVID, making it a good value. When it goes back to regular rates I would probably choose a more comfortable, modern hotel next time. But it is a unique place some may love. Just understand what you are signing up for.

this is a great hotel but we payed full price and ended up in a corner room on the first floor that felt a bit cavernous and the worst part is we had tables of a courtyard restaurant right at our window-zero privacy. no views of mountains, just of people eating....so whilts it is a high quality place you need to ask for a room with a view on a higher floor. they were no able to change us....

Excellent stay, very clean rooms. Was upgraded upon arrival to a suite with a mountain view. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, and there are sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. It is apparent they have amped up cleaning procedures due to covid. Will be staying here again next time in Boulder.

We travel extensively, and spend on average 240 night of the year in serviced accommodation. We always look for boutique type hotels or something just a bit different. After doing an exhaustive search on their we website, I chose a North Wing Premium King. Judging from the photos, it looked perfect! They advertise “sweeping views of Downtown Boulder, the Rocky Mountain foothills and the Boulder Flatirons.”
Well, when we got to the hotel we were initially impressed. That soon soured by the lack of attentiveness from the staff. We took it in stride and went to find our room. I was expecting from the pictures to have a big open room with lots of room, light and spectacular views. What we were met with however, was a dinky room with no light. It looked out into the alley with a wonderful view of the dumpsters.
I checked with the front desk telling them that we must have gotten the wrong room. They assured me that this was indeed the toon I booked and the room fit the description! I was very upset, but as it was only night we decided to make do! We were excited about the “luxury linens” on our bed until we slid into them. No luxury here. It was also one of the hardest and most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in! After tossing and turning all night, we finally fell asleep in the early morning only to be woken by the garbage truck!!
Although we only stayed one night, not once de we have anybody ask us about our stay or be interested at all in how we were. Upon checkout we experienced the same indifference and were not asked anything about our stay!

Hello ScottishDreamTours- Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear about your experience. We do have some rooms on our first floor, and these do not offer the view that higher floors allow. I encourage guests to request a high floor if views are an important component of their stay. I am especially sorry that you were unhappy with the customer service and that no one asked you about your stay, and I will be sure to address these issues with my team. We do hope you come back to give us another chance, and I think you for choosing to stay with us.

the location is a block from the Pearl Street Mall and in the middle of town. There is a city parking lot across the street but we opted for $30/day valet. It takes 10-15 minutes to get your car so call the valet from your room. We checked in and were offered a ground floor room in the back off the alley. We didn't want to be on an alley, so the clerk readily switched us to room 404 in the historic building, overlooking the street. there's street noise at night, but it's not unusually loud. There is free bottled water at the front desk and in the room. The elevator dates from 1909, so one of the clerks has to operate it for you, but when the bell is rung, the response time is fast. The room is updated, beautiful, clean and has a fridge and all amenities. Toiletries are Aveda (good). Housekeeping is on request. Room service is available. There is AC. No complaints!

this hotel is very nice, kinda pricey. My main problem with this hotel was that I booked a specific room with mountain views in June. But when we arrived they said they didn't have it so the upgraded up to another. Not what I booked and they weren't even sorry. The room was nice, but not what I wanted. A few of the restaurant staff were pretty rude.

This is an old hotel. I guess you couild call the hotel, but keep your expectations low. You are staying at the Boulderado for it's location, not the room. It was one of the smallest and worst rooms that I have stayed in since I was in college and broke. The lobby restaurant and bar are fine. The location was great!

It has valet parking. I’m from Boulder and the parking is tough in town. It was reasonable to pay for it and worth it. You will have a problem parking in the vicinity of the hotel.
