Another email and further SECURITY ISSUE

Another email and further SECURITY WARNING UPDATES from Land Rover .
Asking the owners to contact their preferred dealerships only to find out they are fully booked up for next two month.
JLR have quoted in their email / letter " THEY TAKE THE ISSUE OF VEHICLE SECURITY VERY SERIOUSLY ".
THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN COMEDY PROGRAMME.

Land Rover is diabolical and should not…

Land Rover is diabolical and should not be able to sell their vehicles until they sort out their appalling after care and service delivery. They have absolutely no interest at all with their shoddy vehicles once they have conned you into buying one. You would get more consideration from the scumbags who keep steeling them!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Poor quality product no empathy

Bought a brand new Range Rover Autobiography in January 2024 needed a new engine only discovered in May 24 after a number of breakdowns and finally being recovered by Range Rover assist having had to call them out twice in a day . Repairing retailer says fault will have been prevalent on handover in January . Neither Range Rover , the retailer or indeed any other member of the Range Rover family are interested in customer satisfaction . Once they have bought thats it . They pass you from pillar to post and any interaction with the group the retailer or others is , from there end designed to protect the brand . A nightmare and a waste of a substantial sum of money . Had to give 1 star rating so i could just post this . But this is just the beginning . Watch this space 😡

Should have brought Mercedes benz

Terrible service, client services road side hasn’t been much help at all three phone call bookings and they still don’t have my correct information.

They refused to assist goodwill and tow my car from Geraldton to port hedland as a mother with a 1 year old I have to fly there and travel 1200kms back alone.

Not very helpful. Should have brought a Mercedes Benz to get the actual service quality as expected

The most appalling company I've ever…

The most appalling company I've ever dealt with, DO NOT BUY any car from Land Rover.

My 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport which has done 26,000 started to smell strongly of petrol as I came off the motorway on the 14th July. I was around an hour from home so drove back with the smell in the car. On parking the car on my drive and walking past it around an hour later I could still smell petrol. I drove the car once more and the smell was even worse. This is a family car and I made the decision to leave it at my place of work than drive it any further resulting in a taxi home.

Speaking to both my local Land Rover dealerships (Sheffield & Chesterfield) I was told the first emergency appointment was the 25th August and the 1st September (Chesterfield). After much debate the Sheffield dealership managed to find me an appointment at Huddersfield. I arranged for the car to be towed to Huddersfield at a cost of £235 to myself using Land Rover Assist as the car is out of warranty and I did not purchase extended warranty.

Just over two weeks later and I've come to the end of my battle with Land Rover after speaking to the Huddersfield dealership countless times and finally Land Rover directly. Whilst Huddersfield have been very helpful admitting it is a mechanical fault which could not have been caused by myself, Land Rover themselves have taken a different stance. They are happy for me to pay 20% of the cost (just over £1000) as the full cost should be over £5k as there was a severe oil leak and the part in question had overheated which is my fault due to overdriving and the wrong tyres!

For context I have only ever used Land Rover for servicing, the car has done 26,000 miles so clearly I don't overdrive it yet I've been told I should be grateful I'm only paying 20% and this wouldn't even be covered by the warranty if it was in warranty!

This company do not care about your safety, the safety of your family and offer no hummality in the situation. I feel for the people working in dealerships who have to deal with Land Rover UK on a daily basis as the man I spoke to was arrogant, unhelpful and disrespectful.

I am having to pay the fee as I no longer wish for this to take up anymore of my time but I will never buy from this company again and will be selling my vehicle as soon as I have it back.

• DISGUSTING SERVICE •

• DISGUSTING SERVICE •
• EMPTY PROMISES •

I have had a Land Rover Discovery Sport since 2020. There have been multiple issues from the start which Land Rover promised would be fixed. Yet, 4 years on here we are.

The most serious problem was with the driveshaft, which was picked up during a routine service. I was assured I would be contacted within 24 hours to book the car back in and fixed asap. That was over a year ago!

Today (20/07/24) was the final straw! While driving along a dual carriageway with my family, including a 5 year old and 3 year old, the driveshaft malfunctioned! I then had to coast the car to a nearby car park where the AA came to investigate. After inspection it was clear that the car was not able to be driven and had to be recovered on the back of a truck! I now have no car as well as a very shaken family. Land Rover should be ashamed of themselves!

They do not keep their word

I have owned my Velar for just under 2 years and it has developed its first problem and the TCU needs to be replaced.
Without going into details I have been dealing with Grange JLR and Stratstone JLR.
Stratstone has some saving graces but they both have the same problem!

They do not keep their word!

I don't know if they realise how important this is to some people and how frustrating it is when people break their word
They don't do what they say they will do. They don't return calls (I have left scores of messages).
They are rude and they do not apologise.
I have even reached out to JLR directly about this but they don't appear to what to get involved.
This is the last JLR vehicle I will ever purchase!

Worst car I’ve ever owned

Worst car I’ve ever owned, followed by being completely ignored by Land Rover.
A failed weld on a nearly new discovery is set to cost £2500 to fix and LR have no interest in the fact that the weld is not fit for purpose.
This is after we were hit with a £1000 bill last year due to a DPF sensor failure. Again, LR had no interest in accepting liability for failing parts.
The car also has key components under the car that are rusted and need replacing. Absolute disgrace as the car has only done 30,000 miles.
DO NOT BUY A LAND ROVER

JLR a joke of head office and financial service…

JLR head office and financial service are like headless chickens in a wild forest full of foxes!
Blame culture that is clearly commonplace, tried to clear finance on a car that I only took out because the incentives had benefits as I had the cash. Bounced from clueless teams to clueless teams and still awaiting outcome before I know this will go to ombudsman.
Basically they could close the account by taking a payment so made me transfer some money to their account and pay the rest on the online portal. All went wrong as I said to them it would, many calls and emails from me to chase them trying to close account- absolute joke that easily will be resolved by the officials when they send me a final outcome which is currently 2 weeks late 😆

Warranty Given with a 2 year old car covers only Land Rover original fitted equipment

Bought a two year old LR Discovery for £49K. It has had several problems including a very badly leaking windscreen, bits of bodywork falling off and steps that are coming apart. The car was sold with warranty. LR state that the steps are not covered by the warranty. At no stage was I told that the steps were not LR when I bought the car and nor was I told that only parts of the car were covered by warranty - not the whole car. JLR refuse to do anything so I have to take this to the Motor Ombudsman for ADR.

SERIOUSLY, DO NOT BUY AN APPROVED USED LANDROVER.

DO NOT BUY AN APPROVED USED LANDROVER.
2015/16 Range Rover Sport with full service history purchased in February 2023, additional servicing purchased to keep the car going in supposed tip-top condition.

April 2024 the crankshaft failed 4 days after JLR service causing the engine to seize up. the apparent cause was the bearing had spun in the housing, which in turn blocked the oil inlets to the engine, result crankshaft failure! asked the dealership staff if this is a known problem with the SDV6 Engines, they replied that instances of this have been known yes, and that there is nothing that could have been done to prevent it from failing. JLR will not help with any repairs due to the the age of the vehicle and we have been quoted £18,000 for a new engine. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE THINKING OF BUYING AN APPROVED LANDROVER IS DON'T, SAVE YOURSELVES A LOT OF TIME AND TROUBLE AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

I have a 2019 Velar

I have a 2019 Velar, we had some rain and water came in to the tail lights and they stopped working. This is a manufacturer’s defect. I understand the car has no more warranty but that should be covered. I have never seen tail lights that are not waterproof. I paid $60,000 for that car that is taking water in the tail lights. And when i went to a service center, the guy said i have to pay $325 plus tax to diagnose the problem first. You can see the water in the tail lights. There is nothing to diagnose. The guy at the service center said that it will cost approximately 3000$ to replace the tail lights which is pure theft. Never buying a Land Rover again. Worst service and worst quality.

I would not buy a ranger rover or Land…

I would not buy a ranger rover or Land Rover again, my vehicle had no prior warnings, had all services done at main dealer but it appears that the engine oil was not topped up at the main dealer and weirdly no warning lights on the dash. Caused me major engine issues. Cost me a few thousands pounds as the engine was running on low oil

Ever tried to contact Land Rover?

Ever tried to contact Land Rover? Their website offers no email option just a phone number or social media websites.Tried the phone, after ten minutes of being on hold I gave up.Tried another number and it said the switchboard had closed down! The Live Chat on their website doesnt work! What a joke of a once respected British company.
